Description

KING size bed in master! Located minutes from downtown Greenville, the Swamp Rabbit Trail, Furman University, and Travelers Rest, this completely furnished & fully renovated, 2BR/2BA home has a fully stocked kitchen and more. Enjoy your morning coffee on the spacious covered deck off the kitchen overlooking the large, fenced-in back yard. Relax with friends & family around the fire pit or under the ambient lighting surrounding the deck roof. This home is a non-smoking space and pet-free home. The space Cottage Haven is a result of a family dream...as we traveled, we always thought of things we would do to make a space better for visitors. So when the opportunity arose for us to purchase and renovate this cute little house, we jumped in all the way. One of our sons does remodeling, one installed hardwood floors, our daughter is an Interior Designer, and I (Chris) have a local cleaning service- after a year and a half, we were ready for our first guests. Our goal is to make every guest feel like they're the first to stay. So when we say "fully stocked", we mean that we provide little things to make your time with us more comfortable and we strive to keep all things in 'like new' condition. Here are some of the extras we provide... In the Kitchen: *3 ways to make coffee (and coffee, sugar, & creamer for each)- a full size pot, a Keurig, and a French press *A milk frother (to make that extra special cup!) *For your leftovers during your stay- plastic storage containers, saran wrap, foil, and Ziplock bags *Fully stocked spice rack, salt & pepper, and cooking spray *Electric hand mixer *Cutting boards- 3 sizes In the Bathroom: *Pantene Shampoo and Conditioner- full size *Olay body wash- also full size *Blow dryer *Gray wash cloths for makeup removal *Misc- toothpaste, floss, toothbrushes (in case you've forgotten to pack yours), cotton swabs, dry shampoo & hair spray *Two-sided makeup mirror In the Bedrooms: *Usb ports and outlets on each side of king, and one between the singles in bedroom #2 *Sound machine in each *Blackout curtains in master, blinds in each *Luggage racks, hangers & extra blankets in each closet *Bedbug encasements & mattress pads on every mattress In the Laundry: *Detergent *Fabric softener and dryer sheets *Shout spot remover In the Living Room: *Plenty of throw blankets and pillows, so you can be comfy-cozy while watching the 55" Smart TV, which has over 200 available channels. *You can also log onto your Netflix, YouTube or Amazon Prime account or cast directly from your smart phone (don’t forget to also log out!). We are happy to provide instructions. *Incidentally, the master bedroom has a TV identical to the living room so no need to figure out two different systems. For the fire pit: *Firewood provided outside on the covered deck. Starter, lighter and roasting sticks are located in the top drawer to the right of the stove. *Grill top- if you'd like to cook over the fire, the frame for the grill is hanging on the back ledge of the deck and the grill is in the laundry area next to the washer. It will rust if left outside. *Grill tools- please let us know and we'll make sure they're available. The neighborhood: Some guests have mentioned that the neighborhood is a bit “run down”. It is definitely a lower middle class area, but many of the neighbors have been in residence for decades (including those on either side of CH- in fact, Ms M has lived in the same house next door since the 1960’s!) ) and they do upkeep their yards and homes and look out for one another. We have come to know several of the neighbors and have always felt safe, even late at night. While some homes a block or two away are not as well kept, there are also a few new homes being built (Greenville is growing rapidly). Additionally, there is a street lamp on the edge of our property so it is well-lit at night. We are local to Greenville (less than 15 minutes away) and always happy to answer any questions that may arise during your stay, so feel free to contact us! Guest access You'll have full access to the entire house and yard, as well as the driveway that can easily accommodate two vehicles. Other things to note IMPORTANT: Please note that there is an additional $20 charge to convert the (2) single beds into a King Size bed prior to your arrival because it takes two of our people to do so. **While we do allow for early check-ins, the timing is dependent on other guests departing the same day. If we are able to accommodate your desired time, we charge a $50 fee for anything earlier than one hour prior to our established 4pm check-in time.
