The Hummingbird Nest

Located on a private dirt road, nestled within the natural beauty of Santa Fe. Only a 15 min drive to downtown and 30 to hiking. Unwind in your own little oasis with private entrance and patio, after exploring Santa Fe and it's surrounding areas. Or create your own retreat experience. There are 2 yoga mats provided for your use and large windows to view trees, mountains, birds, and sunsets. Full kitchen, stocked with coffee, tea, and a natural lit tile and flagstone bathroom with walk in shower. The space The private Casita is located towards the end of a private dirt road. It's about a mile long, hilly and bumpy along the way. We feel the final destination, makes the drive all worth it :-) For music enthusiasts, there's a Turntable with Bluetooth and CD players in the living area and bathroom. Records and CDs are included for use on the premises. For your comfort, cotton and linen bedding and towels are provided. There's a lovely private patio/sitting area with table, chairs, views of the mountains, sunsets and New Mexico's beautiful star filled skies. Please note, we have WiFi, but it can be inconsistent on occasion. We do have great cell service though ;-) I suggest downloading movies ahead of time. Your host is a Reiki Practitioner. Appointments can be arranged for Reiki session during your stay, schedules permitting. If interested please inquire, and also note a general health intake is required. Permit No. 22-6307 Guest access Guests have their own private Casita, with a patio, garden and sitting area right outside their door. Parking is also right outside your door. Guests also have access to the fenced in vegetable garden, though I do go in there occasionally during growing and harvesting season. Upon request, I can direct guests to near by walking trails. Other things to note There is a gate at the entrance to our driveway, which opens out towards you. We may leave it open for your convenience when you arrive. When it’s closed, the code to open is: 0722 We live a mile down a dirt road, which is hilly and can be bumpy. It's NOT PLOWED WHEN IT SNOWS. I drive a AWD Subaru, and I still need to take it slow on our road. When there is significant snow accumulation, I will drive my husband's 4WD vehicle. Or just stay home and enjoy the beautiful snow! We have upgraded our WiFi to Verizon, which has been working well. Though as of late there have been some issues with all internet services it seems. So please keep this in mind. We do have great cell service though ;-) There is no TV, but there are interesting books to read and music to listen to. I suggest downloading movies before you arrive.
