A late Victorian farmhouse (c. 1896), with large garden, lily pool, and seasonal swimming pool. There are dogs, cats, chickens and birding on the place. None of my animals are allowed in the guest quarters, but polite pets of guests are welcome. Beware allergy sufferers: there are pecan and pine trees and farm animals (cats, dogs, chickens, rabbits). Hamilton Place is about 12 minutes from campus. It takes an hour and a half to reach the Savannah Airport, park, and enter the terminal. The space Lovely for entertaining, this Turn of the Century home provides ample space for your family and friends to gather at a meal with you for special occasions. The dining table easily seats eight people while six additional spaces can be added with a large round table set up in the Parlor. The "old fashioned" furniture and baby grand piano in the living room invite conviviality. There is a large downstairs bedroom, ensuite, opening into the den/ kitchen on one side and onto the porch on the other side. In fine weather, entertainment spills out onto the porches and into the garden by the lily pond. Guest access All of the downstairs space and garden is open to you, but please knock before entering my bedroom and office. During your stay I will be available in my rooms during the stay and available to assist you with your projects as needed. Other things to note You may bring your own food, or I can arrange for catering, or I can grocery shop for you and supply a kitchen helper.
