Relax in the hot tub under the stars. Spectacular views of the snow-topped Sierras. Cozy up before a crackling fireplace in super large (700 sf) comfy room. For amusement you can play darts or corn hole. Peaceful, secluded but not isolated. Refreshing mountain air at 2000' level. Leave your worries at the gate. Enter & relax. A Bit of Heaven. WE ARE SUPERHOSTS and WELCOME you to a Very large, open-concept room on the bottom floor of the main house. It has a Separate Entrance & Private Bathroom w/Shower & Bidet. Features include a King-sized bed & large Sectional with a Full-sized Sleep sofa. Enjoy the Comfy Sitting area w/ Woodburning Fireplace. (we provide a log for the fire) Sit at the table by the window and enjoy the view of the pool and the mountains...or use it as your workspace or game table. Or eat outside in the patio or on the pool deck. How to spend your time? Watch the large-screen TV while you enjoy a cup of coffee, tea or hot chocolate made from your Keurig coffee maker. Store your goodies in the mini-fridge or make some popcorn in the microwave. A hot & cold water dispenser provides conveninece or make your own drinks with the blender. To freshen up, there is an iron, ironing board and steamer for your use. The Private bathroom has towels, soap, shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion plus larger towels to use in the pool/spa. Look on the bookshelf for a board or card game. Or test your skills on the Dart Board or popular Corn Hole. The Hot Tub is available year round. Or, in good weather, just sun and relax on the deck. There is a tranquil Mediation area near the waterfall or up the wooden steps. We are situated on the top of five acres (downslope) which allows for Gorgeous views of the mountains and valley. You may walk around at your own risk - but ask us to open the gate if you want to go to the bottom of the hill. The pool is closed until the sun warms it sufficiently to be comfortable - unless you like swimming in polar bear water. Located only a few minutes off of Hwy 80 there is access to the abundance of options the area has to offer. Trail running, mountain biking, hiking, river rafting, award winning wineries and breweries, music, and if you choose, a glimpse into what started the movement west in 1852, the gold rush! Sutter Creek is a short drive away - PAN FOR GOLD! .We welcome well-behaved pets - upon approval. A deposit may be required. Please secure the gates so all animals will be safe. FYI The main house on upper floor is not included as it is occupied by the Host family. Although we provide privacy, the hot tub is visible from the main residence. NOTE: There are farm and wild animals in the area and you may hear a rooster cock-a-doodling, peacocks calling, coyotes yipping, dogs barking and the ever pesky crow cawing. Come if you like the surrounds of nature, animals and animal noises. Please inquire if you have a dog. Private entrance. Go up 4 steps or use the walkway without steps. Designated parking at Lower 2 car garage. This is one very large room (650 sf) with private bathroom and is located on the lower level of the main house . The main house (upper level) is not included as Host occupies this area. The pool is closed in the winter (unless you like cold water) We are on five acres, (sloped down) hiking at your own risk. This is wilderness so you could encounter rattlesnakes or wild animals like bears, mountain lions, hawks. (Be aware if you have a pet). Hot tub is available for guest use. You will have privacy but it is visible to hosts. Please close all gates as we don't want pets to get out. We have a resident peacock so please drive slowly so as to not run him over. I will welcome you and, if you like, give you a verbal introduction to the area. BEMER Sessions are available at additional cost. If you are arriving late, just let me know. We will leave the light on for you. Are you Interested in moving to the Sierra Foothills or getting a second home? I am a Real Estate Broker. If you give me advance notice, I will provide local housing information. If you are really serious, I will set up a tour of homes in the area for you. Peaceful area at 2000' level affords magical views. Private Road nice for short daytime walks (no sidewalks). Towering pine and oak for forest bathing. Rural neighborhood. Resident peacock likes to check out visitors. Jackrabbits hop by quickly. Occasionally see bear, mountain lions, fox, wild turkeys, deer, coyote, rattlesnakes. The train goes by irregularly at the base of the property. We find it charming as it rumbles by at the bottom of the hill reminiscent of the olden days. You will need a vehicle to get around, or at least a bicycle. Five minute drive to Auburn shopping and restaurants. 15 minutes drive to Colfax. 30 minutes drive to Grass Valley, another 10 minutes to Nevada City. 60 minutes to Truckee. If you are coming in winter, bring chains to travel beyond our area. (Once a year snow here, doesn't last). Hiking trails and lakes start at 10 minutes away Breakfast and shopping 5 minutes away. Reno/Tahoe (90 min), Sacramento (30 min), Nevada City (35 min) .Game console/Wii available. Cable TV. Rural area = spotty internet. BEMER Therapy upon request ($25 per session) . EV Charger available ($50 to recharge overnight). Train passes by at different times, rumbles and sometimes blows its horn. No Smoking inside or out (fire danger). We're in the country and have a wonderful spring-fed well but sometimes it is subject to mechanical issues (which we repair as soon as possible). There are wild animals: bears, mountain lions, coyotes, fox and rattlesnakes in the area. We have small rescue dogs & 2 friendly cats (cats not allowed in guest room but take note if you are allergic). Peacocks wander about, not aggressive but don't get too close - anything with a mouth can bite. Dogs go out at 6am for a potty break. We try to keep them quiet so as not to disturb your sleep.
