The entire property was rebuilt from the foundation in 2004 and remodeled again in 2011. It has an open-concept living, dining, and kitchen area with twelve-foot ceilings. It sits on nearly a full acre of land with a fully fenced backyard and an outdoor furnished pavilion and deck (seasonal). All 6 bedrooms and the living room have smart TVs. The house has central air, two furnaces, and five ceiling fans. Two Medify MA-15 Air Purifiers with H13 HEPA filters help keep the house air cleaner. There are six bedrooms and two bathrooms. Unless the house rules (e.g., "no smoking" or "no shoes in the house") are broken, or excessive messes or damages are left behind, cleaning fees are included in the nightly price. We live in this house when we are in town and aim to treat our guests like cherished family members. Except for food and clothes, the house contains everything a house would be expected to have when people live in it (all kitchen needs, cleaning products, gardens, compost bin, outdoor toys, etc.). We hope you will treat our house and its items with the love and care we all deserve! This is a private home on a private lot with an attached 2-car garage and a fenced-in backyard that is available exclusively for guests to access and enjoy. The halfpipe skate ramp on the north side of the house in the backyard (looking to the left) is not available to guests. The rest of the backyard is yours to enjoy-- including a pavilion, deck, and grassy area. Large patio doors off the living room or an exit door from the "pink room" lead you to the joys of the outdoors. The backyard is completely fenced in. PLEASE LEAVE SHOES BY THE DOORS and wipe pets’ or human feet before entering the house. The closets and drawers are empty except for two closets on the lower level holding holiday decorations and storing family mementos. There is 1 box on the bottom shelf and items on the top shelf in the Amish custom-made wall-size cabinet in the upstairs bathroom that are reserved for our family. There are other shelves full of items and space for guests to utilize. There are NO security cameras or listening devices inside the house. Guests can plug in an Alexa in the living room if they choose to use it. On the outside, there are Ring Cameras at every entrance to the house. I’m always available via messaging to answer questions or assist with making your stay fantastic. Sometimes my work and family bring me to different time zones, so please be patient if it occasionally takes me a few hours to respond. This is a quiet and residential neighborhood with entrances to the gorgeous Metroparks system all around the private home. The entire backyard is fenced. Quiet hours are typically midnight to 9 AM on the weekends. There is also a great playground at the end of our street, about 3/4 miles away. Please be respectful of our neighbors and neighborhood. There are sidewalks on all the streets in the neighborhood as well as extensive trails beginning 0.2 miles away in the surrounding Metroparks. The driveway has space for 4-5 vehicles, and there is room in the garage for 1-2 additional vehicles. There is no parking allowed on the street. Stores, banks, and restaurants are within walking distance - approximately 0.5 miles away. Cleveland Hopkins Airport is less than 4 miles away (7 minute drive) and downtown CLE is a 20-minute drive from the house. Uber and Lyft typically charge $25-$40 for rides from Berea to downtown CLE. This is not an “investment” property. This has been our family’s home and extended family’s gathering place for over twenty years and we want you to experience all of the love and joy in it that we have over the decades. We also expect our home and its items to be treated with respect and care.
