Welcome to Summer Hill! -- A bright, clean, quiet basement apartment with work space and living room/kitchenette. Watch wildlife from windows! Walk our paths around the property. Hang in the hammock with the wind blowing through the pines. See the geese or owls fly right over your head. Great place to escape; stay for a wedding on Greenbluff; Whitworth or Gonzaga graduations, or just get that book finished! *Wood stove is NOT operational. *Entrance is accessed by 17 stairs. The space The apartment is located in the basement of our home with a separate entrance and keyless access. Full egress bedroom on south side of home, so full of natural light with a view of Buckeye Lake. You'd never know it was a basement. It is a fully dedicated AirBnB space. There are lots of stairs to access the entrance. Buckeye Lake is more of a large, shallow pond, where wildlife regularly visit, but no fish live in it and swimming would certainly be a yikes! Too muddy, too cold and too many tadpoles! But beautiful! Parking is in front of our home, but off street, as the home is on a hill and has a long driveway. You will not see neighbors. You will see ducks. The south wall is dedicated to windows! So the light pours in. The kitchenette has a Keurig, microwave and apartment fridge, and a place to hang coats. Binoculars are provided to catch a glimpse of that occasional eagle, swan, or sometimes moose! Add to our wildlife log! We love to see what our guests find! The bedroom features a king bed, work space, and large walk-in closet. The desk faces our backyard where you can watch the pond, wildlife, or the wind through the prairie grass. That's where that book finally gets finished! The sparkling clean bathroom features a large shower, lighted make-up mirror, hair dryer, and high quality towels! And good soap. Always good soap. Mmmm. Nature paths are on the property if you want to take in the fresh mountain air. You can access them straight out your door and through the backyard. They are not paved, just mowed, so they are in a more natural state. There are places to sit or rest in a hammock along the pathways. To Think. To Breathe. You might hear us sometimes as we live there and love our home, but we are rarely in the basement. *Airbeds can be provided for additional guests at additional charge. Please let me know your needs. *Please note: Lots of stairs to get to entrance. Guest access The apartment is in the basement, but fully closed off from the house, with it's own entrance. You will have full access to the apartment, the back yard, and walking paths. Other things to note We are rural enough that internet struggles out here. We have it, but our wifi comes and goes when it feels like it.
