Peaceful and private cabin overlooking Green River lake (Viewable only the in the late fall after leaves have fallen). The gorgeous family property sits on a secluded 11 acre lot surrounded by trees and wildlife. Completed in the late 70's using two old 1800's cabins, this spacious cabin offers all the modern amenities while still allowing you to take advantage of the serene surroundings and isolation from city life. Plenty of room to bring your boat or trailers and park. Clean and quaint Large great room with kitchen off to one side and bedroom off to the other. Large open loft area overlooks great room. You are out in nature so there are bugs to deal with. Japanese beetles love the cabin and are in abundance. They look like little lady bugs and are all over the place. If you don’t like bugs then this is not the place for you. Also there is a resident bat “Bruce” that has figured out a way into the cabin sometimes and will rarely be seen flying around in the cabin at night. Very available …. I work from home and I’m only 20 min from the cabin. Glad to provide any insight into the local activities. Near the lake The drive to the cabin is secluded and the actual cabin is not visible from the road. There is a mailbox at the entrance which has the address and is an indicator to turn down into the private drive. I recommend using Google Maps because Apple Maps has the dropped pin in the wrong location. This cabin is in the country - if you can't handle a few bugs - don't come. There are Japanese Beetles (resemble ladybugs) everywhere around the property and yes they do get inside because the cabin is old and has all sorts of cracks and crevices to allow them in. We do clean them up regularly and we do ensure the main living space is cleaned properly, but there may be little bugs in isolated areas not usually touched. This included cabinet spaces behind dishes and in drawers. Not everyone uses the dinnerware and we advise all guests to wash anything there prior to use because it may have been setting a while since being washed and put away.
