This private 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom condo is located near St. Mary's Glacier and Silver Lake at 11,000 feet. Pet friendly! The space This is a 1,000 square feet, 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, condo overlooking beautiful Silver Lake, at St. Mary's Glacier, in Idaho Springs, Colorado. This wonderful getaway has lake views from every window in the condo. Come, relax, and play at St. Mary's Glacier! This condo is at 11,000 ft. elevation, above Idaho Springs, with a scenic high alpine lake and mountain setting. Closest services are located 10 miles away, in Idaho Springs, where you will find great restaurants, bars, a beautiful recreation center, and Indian Hot Springs. This stunning condo includes a fully stocked kitchen (updated 2019 NEW STAINLESS STEEL appliances and GRANITE counter tops), large dining room, office area looking out to lake, living room, and a sunroom (with beautiful views of Silver Lake). There is 1 king bed in the bedroom, along with a day bed and trundle in the sunroom, so this condo can sleep 3-4 guests comfortably. WiFi, YouTubeTV, Netflix and other streaming apps in the condo, along with a DVD player in the living room and bedroom. Additional amenities include laundry room in the condominium area, picnic area w/propane grills, views of Silver Lake, fishing badges available for fishing in the private lake (great ice fishing in winter!), 3/4 mile hike/snowshoe to gorgeous St. Mary's Glacier, hiking trails, and 4-wheel access to several ATV destinations. Easy access to I-70 - with major ski resorts, sleigh rides, dog sledding, rafting adventures, and casinos within 45-60 minutes. Downtown Denver and Denver International Airport within 1-1.5 hours. Guest access Guests will have access to the entire condo. We do have a locked "owner's closet" in the Master bedroom where we keep our personal belongings and cleaning supplies. Other things to note During Colorado "winter" months (October through May) a 4WD vehicle is REQUIRED as the road to the condo is steep, as well as I-70 requires BY LAW 4WD or snow chains during snow storms. Extreme snow or rainy weather may make Colorado roads more difficult to navigate, so take the utmost care while driving. Drivers should use their own judgement about their skill level and the road condition before navigating the roads. The road to the condo is fully paved and snow plowed by the Colorado DOT (when needed/possible). Refunds will NOT be given due to lesser road conditions.
