Our house is very comfortable and extremely clean. Our location is ideal for a mountain getaway. We are surrounded by big mature trees and on a sparsely used road, very easy to navigate, yet only 6 minutes away from the shopping centers in Boone. Easy access and ample parking balanced with lots of privacy and natural beauty are key features. You can swing in the porch swing on the back of the house with a view looking out over the creek that runs through the back yard and up onto the totally forested sweeping viewscape; or sit on the covered front porch to enjoy watching the deer. The center of the open floor plan house is a real wood-burning high ambiance fireplace made of river rocks gathered from the nearby Howard's Creek trout stream. The gorgeous high character detailed woodworking is all locally harvested, sawn and crafted. From the walnut tree holding up the massive single-board, six inch thick central table to the skipdressed oak flooring and wainscotting surrounding the living room it is all simply real. We love showing off our mountain heritage with interior decorating expressions that you will see nowhere else. We want to make your visit to our house and our mountain the most memorable ever for you. Even the bathroom is like nothing else! All paneled with tongue and groove on the diagonal, real solid wood even in the shower stall. Music lovers will find pleasure in our state of the art Sonos surround speakers filling the house with impeccable sound! The Alexa selection Amazon Music capacity is endless over our high-speed internet. The very well-stocked kitchen has everything you want to cook and serve, even for elaborate meals. Our old farmhouse cabin is not fancy, it is just real welcoming, art-based, inspirational and comfortable.
