Back Chalet Room #12 is a small, cozy unit with a private bathroom. It has a beautiful pine Queen bed. We provide linens, pillows, pillow cases, towels and comforters. This is a 1st floor unit, with 2 other rooms (#10 and #11) that can accommodate a larger group if needed. Please contact the lodge host Karl if you should you need more space. Karl lives next door in the Main Lodge on the first floor in the back innkeeper unit with their own private entrance. At 7000 feet in the High Sierra on Ebbetts Pass, Scenic Byway nature jumps out to embrace you, with all 4 seasons being unique. The Lodge is located 3 miles from Bear Valley Village and 22 miles from Arnold. Close to Big Trees State Park, Lake Alpine and Pacific Crest Trail. Winter - our main season offering a variety of snow sport from Downhill Skiing and Snowboarding at Bear Valley Mountain Resort (only 6 miles away), to snowmobiling in Bear Valley Village (3 miles away), to cross country skiing out the back door, sledding right on the premises with complimentary sled use and snowshoe use for all of our guests. Summer - our next busiest season - offering mild temperature ranging from the lows in the 50's to high maybe in the mid 80's. Plenty warm enough for a swim or kayak in Lake Alpine or Spicer, Union or Utica reservoirs. Hiking, biking, 4 x 4 roads all near by. Fall - the most gorgeous of season with colors starting to change at the end of September to the beginning of November. Crystal clear autumn days, starry nights and beautiful fall foliage. Spring - arrives later in the mountain and is welcomed with an abundance of wild flowers, full flowing streams and waterfalls. This is our quietest time of year and a great option for retreats and family reunions with days getting longer and weather warming up. No public transport. Other things to note Bedroom has a queen bed. WiFi is fantastic! The room is a 1st floor unit. Please NO smoking in any building or room.
