This charming retreat offers a well-appointed kitchen, a luxurious cedar sauna with a wood-burning sauna, a cold plunge, an outdoor soaking tub, and a blissful steamy outdoor shower. Nestled along a peaceful country lane, Chickadee Cottage is located on the idyllic Southwest tip of Whidbey Island. Nestled in the beautiful Whidbey countryside, the Chickadee Cottage invites you with a series of steps leading to a picturesque bridged walkway. Inside, you'll find all the modern conveniences, including high-speed internet and RokuTVs. The kitchen is fully stocked with high-quality cookware and utensils. From a waffle iron and blender to a Cuisinart and panini grill, we have most everything you need for cooking. The bedrooms are designed for ultimate comfort. Bedroom #1 has a luxurious king-size bed, while Bedroom #2 offers a cozy queen-size bed. The bathroom is a spa-like retreat, with a refreshing shower and a luxurious jacuzzi tub for relaxation. Outside, you'll find a serene oasis surrounded by blooming flowers and cedar trees. Enjoy a soak in your private outdoor tub or gather around the fire pit for memorable evenings with loved ones, and don't forget to try out the wood-fired sauna, outdoor shower, and cold plunge, which are all shared with our Pine Cone Cabin guests. Our home is adorned with captivating original artwork, created by both our studio and talented friends. It is the perfect sanctuary for mature guests and families seeking solace and inspiration. We understand that pets are part of the family, so we have prepared a Pet Basket with water and food bowls, towels for wet paws, and balls for playtime. There's even a dog washing area by the sauna, complete with dog shampoo, for those beach adventures. Please clean up after your pets and dispose of any waste. If needed, we have a medium/large kennel available to loan. Our check-in process is flexible, allowing you to arrive at your own pace. If you have allergies to dogs, we apologize but our home may not be the best choice for you. Guests will be able to enjoy the upper floor of the cottage, while the lower floor is designated as private storage space. The cottage boasts several charming garden and seating areas for your pleasure. A delightful shady garden awaits, complete with a grill and picnic table, providing the perfect spot for outdoor meals. Additionally, a sunny deck, accessible from the bedrooms, offers comfortable seating and showcases stunning summertime flowers. For those rainy days in the Pacific Northwest, there is a lower area with a long outdoor table under a protective glass cover, allowing you to relax and enjoy the outdoors even when it's drizzling. Exclusive to the cottage, you'll find a cozy fire pit and a refreshing outdoor tub to enhance your stay. The wood-fired sauna and outdoor shower are shared amenities with the neighboring cabin. To ensure privacy, we have provided clear signage indicating when these facilities are in use or open, preventing any unwelcome visitors from interrupting your relaxation time. We understand the cherished time for relaxation. We hold your personal space in the highest regard, allowing you to fully enjoy moments of solitude. Should you need anything, we are near by. Although you may not see neighbors, sound travels please be respectful of the neighborhood's peacefulness. Nestled between the Cascade and Olympic mountain ranges, and surrounded by the water of the Puget Sound, Whidbey Island is covered with majestic trees and views. The south end of the Island attracts artists and writers. The Guesthouse is located in a quiet rural neighborhood off a gravel drive. It is a 10 minute drive to Langley and a 10 minute drive to the Clinton/Mukilteo Ferry. The local Maxwelton beach is bike ride away. WHIDBEY ISLAND is a national scenic treasure featuring Beautiful Langley, with restaurants, antiques, and great coffee. Historic Ft Casey State Park, Ebey's Landing, Deception Pass Bridge, and other distinctive communities such as the historic waterfront town of Coupeville. A beautiful ferry ride to our west is Port Townsend. Further North are the SAN JUAN ISLANDs, and further still is BC, CANADA! Having a car is crucial for island living. While there is a convenient and free Public Island Transit service available, the bus stop is about a mile away from the Cabin and operates on a limited schedule. Bikes are a great way to see the island, and our local Maxwelton beach is especially popular among kayakers. Whidbey Island is a beautiful and peaceful place nestled between the Cascade and Olympic mountain ranges. It is surrounded by the calm waters of the Puget Sound. The island is known for its stunning scenery with tall trees and breathtaking views. The southern end of the island is especially attractive to artists and writers because of its tranquil charm. The Cabin is a secluded retreat located in a quiet rural neighborhood. It provides a peaceful escape from the busy world, surrounded by peaceful silence and nature. Just a short drive away is the charming town of Langley, which offers delicious restaurants, unique antique shops, and exceptional coffee. If you're looking for adventure, a quick drive will take you to the Clinton/Mukilteo Ferry, which opens up a world of possibilities. You can also visit Maxwelton beach, just a few minutes away, to enjoy the sun and waters. Whidbey Island is a national treasure that never fails to captivate. Langley is a charming town with great food, interesting antiques, and aromatic coffee. There are also historical sites like Ft Casey State Park and Ebey's Landing, as well as the impressive Deception Pass Bridge. Each community on the island has its own unique charm.
