The space The cabin is split into two private, beautiful mirror image suites at ground level - with separate entrances. Both suites are used for guest stays. (Listed and booked separately.) Each one has an open living area and well appointed kitchen, a full bathroom, a bedroom, and a large loft space which doubles as a second bedroom. There is high speed WiFi throughout the house. THIS listing (Bluestone) is for the private apartment on the south-west part of the home. It has all the basics, but does NOT include some of the amenities in the other suite - so if you would prefer to have access to a washer and dryer for laundry, and a dishwasher during your stay, please consider booking the other space instead. My two dogs and I also live here, in a third walkout basement apartment, so I am usually available you have any questions or need anything during your stay (Toiletries, additional kitchen supplies, etc.) Location is also home to a nonprofit animal sanctuary - guests may meet our two ponies and chickens, and learn more if interested. Tioga county has hiking trails, historic buildings, scenic dining overlooking the Susquehanna river, racing, gaming, golfing, and more... But with 16 acres to sprawl out on, picnic tables, a small pond and paddle boat, ponies, sunset views from the hilltop, hidden hammocks, bonfire pit, and more right here - I’ll completely understand if you don’t go too far! The covered porch is huge, overlooks the pony pasture, and faces east. Early risers can drink their coffee while taking in the sunrise over the distant hills, and on rainy days you can still enjoy the fresh air while relaxing on the porch swings. ***Please note that I sometimes have rather loud, chatty roosters on the premises. *** Local Attractions: - Owego Walking Tour: “The Historic Owego Walking tour is a self-guided stroll through the streets of Owego to homes, businesses and points of interest using your cellphone.
