The Griffinage is a well-appointed log cabin built in the mid 60s. Sun on the deck, unwind by the trickling waterfall in the garden or curl up with a book by a fire. It's a 10 min walk down the hill to Villa Grande with its River swimming hole. Our location midway between Guerneville & Jenner gives easy access to stores, dining & the coast or wine touring near Healdsburg. For a romantic weekend or a longer family vacation, the Griffinage offers restorative comfort in a woodland setting. TOT3909N The space TOT 3909N The Griffinage is a 2-story log cabin that was built in the mid-1960s by a family from the Bay Area with long family ties to the Russian River resort area. It sits in deep mixed conifer woodland about 200 feet above the river. The great room features a stone fireplace and a spacious dining table for up to 8. A sliding glass door gives access to a large deck with seating and dining areas. The kitchen is well-supplied with a new range, dishwasher and refrigerator, small appliances, and kitchen tools. One bedroom with a queen bed adjoins the kitchen and bath on the main floor. More sleeping accommodations are upstairs: one room features two twin beds; the other has a double bed and additional twin day bed, great for lounging with a book. All of our mattresses are brand new. The upstairs rooms also feature ample desk space, and dependable wifi serves the entire house. There is an additional ½ bath below the deck, as well as an enclosed outdoor shower. Although the house is surrounded by beautiful mature redwoods and firs the deck and garden below the house receive ample sun most days, California coastal fog permitting! There is a classic Weber Kettle grill and more seating on the stone patio, which is graced by a tiny fish pond and trickling waterfall in the garden just below the kitchen door.
