The space Due to the unique nature of this listing, it is imperative that you read through it carefully. Please give the password located somewhere in this listing in your communication with me so I know you have read it. ▪︎We do not discriminate based on age, gender, race, citizenship, religion, political beliefs, or sexual orientation, but children under the age of 6 are not permitted for safety reasons. ***A bin with sheets, towels, face clothes, etc… will be at the camper upon your arrival. Please use the sheets we have provided not only for your comfort, but to keep the mattresses protected. ▪︎ It's always a great time to escape your daily grind and come to Case Rock Eco-Retreat. Drive merely 30 min up the interstate from downtown Birmingham, and a short drive from the exit, you will park your car at the goat pen, throw your belongings in the back of our UTV, and one of our staff will transport you to the 105 acre sanctuary. The MOG is a heated space featuring an outdoor firepit, extra outdoor sleeping loft, a propane grill, outdoor kitchen, OUTDOOR SHOWER with hot water, and an amazing view from the observation deck. * NOTE: You are sleeping in, not driving, the UNIMOG. At its heart, MOG Mountain is a stage where you can act out your childhood fantasies. A UNIMOG is a European 4x4 vehicle made by Mercedes Benz. Like HUMMVs, these vehicles are used for rugged extreme travels, and for everything from fire trucks to snow plows to communications vehicles to soldier transport. However, because they are made by Mercedes Benz, they are way cooler and better made. This particular one was a German communications vehicle and has been converted into a simple RV with the removal of the original cabinetry and the addition of a bed. This space is the main sleeping compartment of the MOG Dock. It sleeps 2 on a memory foam mattress/futon that converts to a small couch. This UNIMOG in particular was used in several film and TV productions filmed in Georgia including The Walking Dead and The Hunger Games. There is even dried zombie blood on the window! It truly is the AirBnB to help you survive the zombie apocalypse!™ There are three levels to MOG Mountain. LEVEL 1 -- The UNIMOG (sleeps 2) with optional mosquito netting --Small outdoor kitchen --A compact travel toilet with compostable waste bags (we are no longer using the composting toilets) --Outdoor shower LEVEL 2 --Open air sleeping loft (sleeps 2) with camping mattress. No linens are provided for this sleeping area. If you will be using it, you should bring sleeping bags and a pillow. LEVEL 3 --Observation tower accessible by ladder. ▪︎ The pavilion is open on all sides, so you are shielded from the sun and rain, yet can enjoy the fresh air and views of the woods surrounding MOG Mountain. The only enclosed spaces are the toilet closet and the sleeping compartment of the UNIMOG. Mosquito netting is provided for the UNIMOG sleeping area only, but you should also bring bug spray. ▪︎ If you'd like to bring more than 4 people, just ask. We will work with you on the size of your party. ▪︎ Also provided are towels, sheets, soap, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, paper towels, and TP. ▪︎ We know how hard it is to find an AirBnB that takes pets, so we welcome most dog breeds except Rottweilers, Dobermans, pit bulls and pit mixes (insurance company rules). We do not charge a pet fee. They just need to be OK with riding in the Ranger with you to MOG Mountain. ▪︎ We have goats and an Anatolian Shepherd livestock guardian dog which are kept behind a fence at base camp where you park your car. You may pet the goats if they will let you as they are still getting used to people. We sometimes have baby goats. We ask that you keep your dogs in your car until check-in process is complete so that it doesn't freak our animals out. And please leash your dogs! ▪︎ Not only are you enjoying the off-grid adventure camping experience, you also have 105 acres of trails at your back door. You will enjoy solitude and the quietness of being on the sparsely populated property. In order to reach MOG Mountain, we will pick you up and drop you off in a Ranger. All other trips back and forth are up to you. ▪︎ MOG Mountain is located on the main trail surrounded by woods. The Locust Fork River access is 1/4 mile down the trail from the MOG dock. ▪︎ To ensure that people have fully read this description, please give the password: "Banana pancakes" in your message to me.
