Located between downtown CB and the base of the mountain, Pitchfork is a residential, pedestrian scaled neighborhood located in Mt. Crested Butte that backs up to National Forest land and is surrounded by mountains. Pitchfork's combination of mountain aesthetic and modern innovative architecture has helped make it one of the new models for mountain town redevelopment. Our home is short walk to the free bus / shuttle stop which leaves every fifteen minutes. The shuttle goes to downtown Crested Butte (if your interested in dining out or doing some shopping). It also goes up the mountain (for hiking, mountain bike riding, skiing, or a spa day). If you prefer to go by foot from Pitchfork, you can catch Crested Butte's paved "Recreation Trail" for a 2.5 mile hike to downtown or about a ½ mile hike to the ski base of the mountain.
