Welcome to Pine Falls Lodge, nestled on a beautiful site between two lakes on the historic Chiniguchi River waterway. Your private, rustic cabin is heated by woodstove: wood provided. There is a shared sauna, kayaks, and paddleboards available on the property as well as a growing network of hiking trails. Check out our website to see everything we have to offer for your stay. Please note there is no running water November to around April. The space Pine Falls Lodge is off-grid, there is no cell service, however wifi is available on the property (not in the cabin). We generate electricity by solar and water turbine and running water comes from the lake. Please note the following for fall/winter stays (between late October and April): -The cabin is heated exclusively by woodstove, wood is provided. -Running water is disconnected once temperatures drop below freezing. Water is provided in a jug with a battery pump for washing dishes and in buckets in the bathroom to pour into the back tank of the toilet and flush as usual. The public shower below the lodge is available all winter long with hot running water. -Boats are not available once the water temperature gets too cold. We grow our own fruits, vegetables, herbs, and we have our own chickens for eggs. We welcome you to be a part of this experience and we'd love to help you harvest from our gardens and chickens to supplement your meals during your stay, just ask! The 2bd log cabin, along with others on the property, was originally built in the 1940s. In more recent years the original cabin has been added on to, to provide the open concept living room/kitchen which includes a fridge and propane stove/oven, as well as the bathroom with a toilet, sink and shower. Outside there is a bbq and picnic table. The entry porch can be used to store your coolers and outdoor gear. The fire pit is next to the cabin. There is a large flat area suitable for yard games (bring your own), setting up a shade tent, etc. The property has 7 other cabins that were built in the 1940s. 4 of these cabins have been renovated and are available to be rented to guests. The following amenities are shared with other guests: -A large pebble beach with a shaded pavilion and a dock -Kayaks and paddleboards -Floating swim mat -Fire pit -A wood burning sauna with large windows that face Murray Lake. There is also another dock here. -A system of hiking trails in the surrounding crown land Guest access The property is 3.5 acres and you're welcome to explore. It is large enough that you have privacy but you will see us around if you need or want any company. You can access the beach, docks, sauna area, as well as hiking trails in the surrounding crown land. Other things to note We are in the process of finishing the large lodge building on site as well as working on the property and other cabins. Don't mind the mess! We are a family-friendly location. Please let us know how many children you are bringing and we will reduce the $30 additional person cost to $10/night for every child under 12. Bedding is provided: sheets, dish clothes, tea towels, blankets and pillows. Please bring your own towels. The location is remote and you won't have any cellular reception. There is wifi available, many carriers support wifi calling. In case of emergency, we have a cell booster from which you can get cell service. Bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper - the sound of the waterfalls can be loud depending on where you are on the property. Tap water is NOT potable - bring your own jugs of water (please avoid bringing plastic water bottles - ask us where the water spring is located on the road up, and fill your jugs there!) Well-behaved, fixed dogs are permitted on site but you must let us know ahead of time. Your dog must be leashed or tied up as appropriate and isn't to be left in the cabin. Dogs are not permitted on the furniture. Please let us know if you want to bring your boat so we can arrange for launching and parking for $50 extra fee. Running water is disconnected from late Oct to April due to freezing temperatures. Heat is via wood stove.
