Private guest house with steam sauna nestled in 40 acres of hike-able land. Find tranquility in New Mexico's high desert. Common areas include huge sun room and an outdoor adobe fire ring. Birdwatcher's paradise! The Casita has a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee pot, tea kettle, silverware, plates and glasses. Coffee and tea are provided. Please note check in time is between 3pm and 8pm. The space The 600 square foot casita has a private steam sauna, big walk in shower, bedroom with living space, heating and cooling system. Steam saunas have many health benefits. Relieves stress, loosens stiff joints, refreshes skin, speeds work-out recovery. Indulge yourself with a healthy gratifying experience. A wide courtyard patio separates the casita from the main house. The sun room is attached to the main house. The door to the sun room is about 10 paces from the casita. Conveniently close yet distant enough for total privacy in the casita. This area of New Mexico is known for its four gentle seasons. There can be hot days mid summer and winter temperatures can dip down low. The majority of the year you can expect cool nights and pleasant days. New Mexico has approximately 310 days of sunshine per year! The desert offers amazing experiences. The rainy season brings forth astonishing desert flowers. Migratory birds return to the canyon each year. As of May 2021 we have compiled a list of 97 bird species that frequent our property, including Vermilion Flycatchers, Yellow Billed Cuckoo, Western Tanagers. And remember the desert is alive with many creatures and plants that protect themselves pointedly Other things to note Deserts are wild and wonderful and dry. Be sure to stay hydrated. Always be alert for snakes while walking the countryside. Use common sense if you encounter wildlife. Animals will run away and cause no harm as long as they are not harassed or cornered. Bring binoculars! So much wildlife to enjoy.
