Join us at our cozy New England Forest House. Located on a dead-end paved road surrounded by woods, The Forest House is the perfect place to retreat, or just unwind and catch your breath during your visit to northeast Connecticut's Quiet Corner. If you are looking for New England charm this is the place. Close to UCONN, small New England villages, state parks, wineries, and antique shopping, about an hour from Boston, Providence, and Hartford. Please note we cannot host unaccompanied minors. The space Our 30ft by 15ft space is warm and inviting. There is a 55" Smart TV for your entertainment pleasure. You can watch live TV, by accessing the Spectrum app on the TV. We provide coffee, tea bags. The water from the faucet is well water tested annually and very clean. There is outside seating to enjoy your morning beverage or just relax from a day of sightseeing. This is a beautiful, hidden gem with a rustic woodland cottage charm. The accommodations have recently been remodeled, the Full bed is brand new and the Queen sleeper sofa is very comfortable with a memory foam mattress. Working Guests and Writers: We have a lap desk/lap tray workstation available. Families: This space is small and cozy. Guest access Guest may access the private guest suite; and walk about the yard and woodland property. During your stay Hosts reside in the house upstairs and would be more than happy to support your stay in any way. We respect your privacy as well. Other things to note Unfortunately, this space is not wheel chair accessible. There is one step into the guest suite, and access to the BR is narrow. Parking is a small distance from the entrance to the guest suite in back of the house. A short walk, down a medium incline, to the back of the house to enter the guest suite; there is a flood light that can be turned on to improve visibility. A flashlight is recommended.
