This space is categorized as a guest suite because you’ll be totally private with your own entrance and no shared spaces with other guests or anyone else. The guest suite is connected to the main house, but separated by a sound-insulated brick wall. While our guest suite does not offer a full-kitchen, we do provide a small refrigerator with small freezer, and a microwave. Though it’s not really sufficient for cooking full meals, it is intended for prepping light meals. Nestled in the heart of West Columbia, we are located in a quiet neighborhood with virtually no traffic. Our neighborhood is especially close to I-26 and only six minutes from the Columbia Metropolitan Airport. Downtown Columbia is less than fives miles away which makes the University of South Carolina and other draws only about a 10-15 minute drive. Fort Jackson is a 20 minute drive. Congaree National Park is about a 27-minute drive. The suite is closed off from the main part of the house so this is entirely private and will not require shared spaces. The private suite includes master bathroom, laundry room, mini-kitchenette, queen bedroom, jacuzzi, and patio. Multi-vehicle parking available in backyard, very close to the suites’s private entrance. The mini-kitchenette includes a large mini-fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee-maker, and a workspace. Please note that there is no kitchen sink, so washing dishes is not convenient with only the bathroom sink. This space is fine for lite meals but insufficient for cooking full meals. We include a starter pack of paper plates and plasticware. We are available at most times for guests. We have found that most guests prefer the seclusion, and we are fine with that. No interactions are required. In addition to living nearby, we are also available by phone or text. Our home is located on a short dead-end street in a quiet neighborhood with very little traffic. We are conveniently located very close to Interstate-26. Most of our guests utilize our free parking in the backyard. Many of our guests enjoy using food delivery apps to try our local South Carolina cuisine. Uber and Lyft are both reliable mobility options that operate in our area. A unique entry key code will be given to guests one day prior to arrival to allow for private entry without requiring host interaction.
