Stunning Dutch Creek Falls- Heart of Valle Crucis

We invite you to stay in our beautifully remodeled apartment in the lower level of our home in the heart of Valle Crucis (we live upstairs). Guests have exclusive access to the patio and deck just outside the suite with the most spectacular views in the area. Enjoy meals on the patio while overlooking Dutch Creek and the surrounding mountain views. We've lived here for 47 years and remodeled the lower level in 2020 to allow us to share this special place with others! The space PLEASE NOTE: our guest suite is in the downstairs of our home. Guests have complete privacy but we do live upstairs We will not allow cancelations due to not understanding or thoroughly reading our description. Renovated in May 2020, our private apartment offers a King sized bed, walk-in shower with high end tile, washer & dryer as well as many other luxury amenities. Large windows in the living room & kitchen area overlook the private stone patio with beautiful overflowing flower pots in the summer and comfortable outdoor seating. Our kitchen features granite countertops, a full sized range, beautiful tile backsplash and seating at either the bar or kitchen table. Relax on our comfortable sofa while watching TV or reading. We have several private outdoor seating areas on the patio and deck for you to enjoy as you relax. We also provide a washer and dryer for your convenience. A gas grill is provided on the patio for you to use. Free WIFI is provided. Note: there is no thermostat in the unit but I am happy to adjust the temperature to meet guests needs. There is an electric fireplace that keeps the suite warm that guests can adjust and turn on/off. We provide self check-in with a keyless entry keypad. The door code will be sent the morning of your arrival. We have a Smart TV and provide Netflix and Prime Video. Guests are welcome to log into their own accounts to watch other services. Our property sits alongside Dutch Creek and atop Dutch Creek Falls. We welcome our guests to enjoy views of the falls, however, guests are NOT allowed to go down to the falls, as it is on private property. We have parking available for 2 cars near the entrance to our guest apartment, in front of our garage (we do not park in the garage so you are welcome to block it). Please do not park in any other spaces on the property, as those are used by us. Please note that we do not have a land line telephone. Mobile coverage is spotty in the area, and Verizon seems to be the most reliable carrier. We do have WIFI so you are welcome to text or call using the internet from the house. We have a dog, Ginger, who might greet you on your arrival. She is a friendly and energetic Goldendoodle who spends a lot of her time outside during the warmer months, so you might see her on the patio or driveway as you come and go. Note: the hot tub seen in pictures and mentioned in some reviews is out of service and not available for guests to use. Guest access Guests have access to our private suite in the downstairs of our home. They have a private entrance, stone patio and wood deck that is exclusively for guest’s use. Guests are welcome to enjoy relaxing on the bank of the creek in our back yard during the warmer months. Guests do not have access to the bottom of the waterfall and aren’t allowed to climb along the top of the falls due to liability issues. Other things to note We require all of our guests to have their identity verified with Airbnb. To do so, go to your Airbnb profile, click Government ID, then add your drivers license or passport. You’ll be able to make an instant booking if you’re verified.
