Buttersea Cottage in the historic East End!

A quiet vintage cottage close to the East Beaches, the Strand and the Galveston Ferry! Welcome to Buttersea Cottage - our bright, eclectic getaway in Galveston's Lost Bayou district. We have a modern seaside vibe - calm and cultivated. We are a few minutes walk to the Seawall and the Grand Galvez or a few minutes drive to the fun shops on the Strand downtown. For those who prefer to drive to the beach we can provide guidance on some secret free parking spaces nearby! The space While our home was built at the turn of the 20th century it has all the elegance and comforts of the 21st. Enjoy high ceilings with cute chandeliers, giant light-filled windows, Smart TV's and high-speed internet. As our house is one of the few that has two twin bed (plus sofa bed) we are perfect for friends or family that like to have their own. Our neighborhood is a lovely residential area with lots of big trees and Victorian and contemporary houses. We have a neighborhood cafe which is perfect for breakfast and lunch and we are in walking distance to the Long Board Bar for the evenings or dining with a seafront view! Guest access All areas of the home are exclusively yours. There is a small yard and porch out front. There is then a large front room with living room and kitchen areas, including a 50" Smart TV. There is a bedroom, restroom & closet area as well. Other things to note We have a full-sized mirror, an iron, ironing board, starch and a hanging rack for people getting ready for a party or wedding. We have complimentary snacks and coffee. We provide basic toiletries, because you never know what you might forget, as well as linens and towels for your stay.
