Have you ever gone snow skiing in Missouri !? We are just a ten minute drive from Hidden Valley Ski Resort. Novice? They have ski lessons. There is also a "Tube Run" where all ages can enjoy the snowy slopes on large innertubes! Just down the road from us, you'll find hiking trails with awesome views. We are close to St. Louis attractions, as well. Enjoy your private area in our lower level. We live upstairs, but a locking door divides our space from yours. Hope to meet you soon ! Our home is surrounded by woods and a large yard on all sides. Close to many types of stores and restaurants and shopping. Hidden Valley Ski Resort and Six Flags Theme Park are both just 10 minutes away, as are many great parks for hiking and mountain biking. Missouri is a Cave State-enjoy touring the caves; only a short drive away. Year round the caves are 68 degrees, so you can go just about any time for a cave tour. Your bedroom has a roomy, king size bed, a full size bed is in a second, private bedroom, the queen air mattress can be put up, if you need it. You'll love the new, private bathroom with lots of HOT water. If you like to cook, we have a full kitchen with all new stainless appliances. Enjoy the breakfast goodies we supply at the counter, in the dining area or on the patio. In the large, living room you can relax and watch a movie on our reclining, leather sofa. You will enjoy the quiet, peaceful surroundings at this "little farm, in town" , as we call it. When you arrive park by the yellow garage and enter through the wooden gate, into the back yard. Your separate "apartment" area can be accessed via the door under the deck off the patio. The Wifi password is posted for those who need to stay "connected". Nearby destinations include: Six Flags theme park, Hidden Valley ski resort, Meramec Caverns, Purina Farms, Missouri float streams, Missouri wineries and lots of great State Parks and Conservation areas. We're also just a 30 minute drive to downtown St. Louis and all the attractions in the city. Check out our famous St. Louis Zoo, The Gateway Arch, Grant's Farm, City Museum, Missouri History Museum and lots more ! If you are traveling cross-country with your horse(s), we have ample pasture to let them out to rest (for an additional fee). Also, we have plenty of parking area if you are traveling with a trailer. I sometimes may surprise you with some fresh baked treats. We live a little over 1 mile from the nearest stores. Kind of a little farm-like setting with our animals and our wooded property. Peaceful yet close to everything. We are in a VERY SAFE and secure area of St. Louis County. The nearest bus stop is 10 minutes away. Amtrak station is 20 minutes away. Lambert International Airport is 40 minutes away. Three major interstate highways are just 15 minutes away. Uber, Lyft and Taxi service available from our place/ If you are flying into the area, we can arrange for airport shuttle (for a fee). You will not have access to the thermostat to control the heat or a/c. We keep the thermostat at 68 in the winter and 74 in the summer. If you visit in the cold months, there are space heaters in various rooms. Also, the ceiling vents can be opened or closed by twisting them. We also have a wood-burning fireplace. Feel free to keep a fire going, if you really like it toasty warm. You can adjust your heating needs many ways. There are a couple of box fans, for those of you who enjoy a little "white noise", while you sleep. You may bring your small dog with you, when you stay with us. There is a $25 per pet/per reservation (cash) fee. We have a large, fenced yard and our dog always enjoys having a friend visit! Your pup may sleep in your room, but we ask if they MUST sleep on the bed that you throw a top sheet over the comforter in consideration for future guests. Please crate your "fur baby" while you are away from the space. If your pet causes any damages, fees will be paid thru Airbnb.
