This is Eleanor! A peaceful rustic chic getaway; the perfect place to call your home while visiting the Austin area. With reclaimed barnwood, beams, and metalwork, you'll find this cabin spacious, tranquil, & comfortable. This is a space to reset, reflect, and relax. My hope is that you enjoy every part of your stay here; from morning coffee with the gentle breeze coming through the windows, to choosing the record to put on as the sun sets, or by relaxing beneath the starry night sky. At 238 square feet (300+ with the loft!), she may be tiny, but Eleanor is a spacious home with vaulted ceilings and the most open floor plan possible. Designed by yours truly, and with obvious minimalism in mind, she's got everything you need and nothing that you don't. Not everything is bigger in Texas! Eleanor has a deck that almost doubles the usable square footage, plus a smaller deck off of the back. You'll find two rocking chairs, a small table, a very large table and bench, plus two chairs and a table on the back deck. Hanging lights allow the space to be enjoyed at night while adding lovely ambiance to the yard. There's an additional seating area and table under the tree, plus a grill for you to use. I've got a dog lead attached to the deck if you'd like to bring your pet. LIVING ROOM: A wildly comfortable couch, rolling chest/coffee table on wheels, and multiple nesting tables make for a fantastic living room setup of your choice. The couch features a pull out bed with memory foam should an additional sleep space be needed for your party. Naps in the reading nook are worth it too :) Feel free to peruse the seemingly endless library of records and books. KITCHEN: You'll find a full size refrigerator and sink, and have full access to all kitchen items from pots/pans/spices/blender/rice cooker/utensils/etc. A convection cooktop (super fast/efficient!) is stored just below the sink, plus a foreman frill, and an oven stored in the chest - countertop space is precious in a tiny house! Both appliances can be plugged into outlets across any of the countertop surfaces. You'll find USB ports at outlets in the living room, loft, and flip down table. A fold down table between the kitchen and living room is great for a dining or work table, using the adjustable stool and chest for seating. In the back closet you will find a folding table with 4 stools to use indoor/outdoor as needed as well. BATHROOM: Soap/Shampoo/Conditioner/towels/hair dryer all provided. A 36" shower with pop out shower curtain rod and dual head/waterfall showerhead make for a more spacious than imagined showering experience also. I get the question about plumbing often but expect to see normal plumbing as you would at your house/apartment/etc. Some additional basic amenities and first aid items can be found below the bathroom sink. STORAGE: Ample storage is available should you like to unpack. Closet space in the bathroom, empty crates under the reading nook and the cabinet behind it, under the bottom two steps, and the opposite side of the bed upstairs. Rods for hanging clothes can be found in the reading nook cabinet and back closet. Shoe storage can be found hanging inside the nook cabinet. CONNECTIVITY: Though Eleanor doesn't allow instant gratification to run her life via WiFi/internet, don't think that you'll lack certain luxuries often associated with it. Upstairs you'll find a 60" TV that swivels for viewing from anywhere in the house. (yes, unnecessarily large for a tiny house, whatever!) A Bose speaker allows for more sound than necessary as well, to pair with the TV or with your phone/computer via Bluetooth. A player and collection of DVD/blue-ray's are free for your use, plus HDMI attachment devices, should you like to play/stream/hotspot content from your Netflix/Hulu/HBO/YouTube/everything else account. The record player and radio can be found on a shelf to the right of the kitchen. OUTSIDE: What was once a planned tiny house neighborhood has materialized into my home, plus one other tiny home next door. We share a few acres near the end of a dead end lane. Our home face opposite directions so the yards are open. The area has fields on two sides, and small farms and homes on the other two sides. PARKING: Parking is available just outside the house, on the right hand side of the road. Our driveway was damaged during the lasts hurricane. I do not recommend low clearance cars lower than a Prius. With all the standard amenities, and a lot of extra character, my quaint tiny house/cabin has all you could need! If you have a question or concern I didn't address above, please just reach out to me, I'm readily available. You've got the entire house, plus a spacious yard with outdoor seating and grill. You will be given all instructions needed to access the home for your stay on the day of your arrival. My house manual will be sent automatically from Airbnb prior to arrival. I include it with the day-of check-in information as well, just to be safe. I leave a list great things to see and do in the Austin area at the fold down table, and maps are in the nook cabinet. I'm always available to answer any questions or concerns you may have, and do my best to address any individual problems ASAP for you to ensure you have an enjoyable stay! At the end of a dead end lane you'll be sharing about 3 acres with one tiny house neighbor. Our homes face opposite directions, and has fields on two sides, and a few distant homes on two sides. The yard and deck area are quite large. *ROAD CONDITIONS* -The half mile lane/driveway was wrecked pretty badly when Hurricane Harvey flooded it out, and firetrucks had to tend to a neighbor. It's not county maintained but we collectively work on it when's it gets real bad. If you have low clearance on your car (like my old Prius) use a little caution!** I would not recommend my home if you have a very low sitting car, or something really tiny like a Mini Cooper. I am not near public transportation. I recommend having a vehicle. Pets allowed for an additional flat fee of $30. The road to this location was wrecked pretty badly when Hurricane Harvey flooded it out, and firetrucks had to tend to a neighbor. There have been various successful attempts at repair over the years. If you have low clearance on your car (like my Prius) you will want to use some caution. I would not recommend a car as small as as mini cooper.
