Abbey Nest, Established August 5th 2020. Abbey Nest provides you the comfort away from home that you would expect. The queen size private suite includes fresh towels and linens, Wi-Fi with streaming TV, mini fridge, and the ability to climate control. For your convenience, there is a chest of drawers, and plenty of closet space that can accommodate you for much longer than a weekend stay. For those of you who are traveling for business, a computer work station is built in into your room. The space Abbey Nest is a well laid out multi level home offering a charming view, plush bedding, and decorating done with detail. The home hugs you the minute you walk in the door. It’s located in a very quiet and small housing development but with country views. You won’t be disappointed in your stay. Guest are to street park.... Only those in the booking are permitted in the home. Two rooms are offered here and it’s important that all whom are here are able to have a peaceful house with quiet time. When enjoying your personal tv in your room, be mindful of potential guest in the adjoining room. During warm months, I would be grateful if when leaving your room for an extended period of time, to please turn off the AC. The room cools quickly. The front door is a two code system and each room has its own personal entry code and is changed upon checkout day. Don’t share your code with anyone. Lock the main door behind you each time you leave the home. NEVER lock the handle of the door. Should you find yourself locked out, I have a set of keys in safe keeping. If it’s bad weather outside, please remove wet/ muddy shoes before walking across carpet. If using the kitchen, please don't use abrasive products or tools ( comet or scratchy pads) on the stainless steel appliances when cleaning up. Dirty dishes may be rinsed and placed in the green bin under the sink for ME to run through the dishwasher when enough items need cleaned. When using the microwave, please cover with paper towel and or food cover container to keep splatter off inside. Pots and pans should be washed, dried, and put away. All surfaces should be wiped off after use. The 1/2 bath barn door downstairs is not on a floor glide, I just ask you to be mindful when opening and closing that door. I brew coffee Monday through Friday ( if here) and it will be placed in a carafe for you to enjoy. If I’m not here, you may brew on your own. For your safety, the garage door lights are on 24/7. Towels are not replenished on a daily basis and should be used a few times before laundering. A hanger is provided for you to hang your towel for drying. When ready for fresh towels, lay soiled ones outside your door. NEVER launder the towels or linens yourself. They require special treatment. Bins for bathroom items are provided in the bathroom cabinet. They are labeled room one and two, please feel free to use them. There is also additional shampoos and conditioner that get tossed in the bottom drawer of the bathroom, feel free to use those as well. If you would be so kind after showering to make sure that hair has been rinsed out, and water from the floor and sink is wiped up. When/ if doing laundry, make sure that the laundry detergent that you are using is high efficiency laundry detergent only, and that the lint trap is cleaned after use. Please leave washer door open after washing cloths to allow washer to air out. Laundry is to be done between 9 Am and completed by 9 Pm ( unless house is empty.) The homes main refrigerator is my personal space. A fridge is provided for you in your room. If you need further fridge space, get with me. All of the common areas that are used should be tidied up after use. Should any form of accident or damage occur to the property during your stay , please notify me immediately to allow me time to potentially salvage the problem. Extended stay guest:(beyond 28 day stays ) will need to acquire a postbox for Mail and deliveries. During your stay, sheets will be offered to you every week. You may choose to hold off another week but all linens are required to be laundered ( by me) at least every two weeks. You are responsible for applying and removing them to and from your bed. I do no housekeeping in your private space until your stay is completed. Should you want or need to use cleaning supplies, I would be happy to provide them for you. Decorative pillows are not intended to be laid upon. These are items that are not able to be laundered after each guest. If you prefer the extra space, you may set the pillows outside your door for me to store. If there’s anything you need or that I can do for you, I’ll be happy to help Ps: I occasionally cook meals that I will share with guests. I will notify you when I do so. The common areas are the kitchen, dining room, and living room. During warm seasons, the front porch is furnished with rattan seating. If you are a fan of grilling, that is provided during warm season as well, along with outdoor dining table and chairs. All guest are kindly asked to tidy up after themselves. During your stay Being an Airbnb host is a truly amazing experience. I enjoy meeting, and talking with all guest who are interested in communication. If you are staying to have some decompression time and need your space, and privacy, your privacy is my utmost importance. Our time together while here, can be as little or as much as my time and your time allow. Other things to note Abby nest is conveniently located. A 20 minute or less drive in any direction will land you in either Bellefontaine, Marysville, Urbana ,or East liberty. The Honda plant is a mere 6.7 miles away. If you are looking for adventure, points of interest located close to Abbey nest include, Zanes Caverns, Piatt Castle, Marmon Valley Farms, and Mad River Mountain Ski Lodge . All of which are less than 10 miles away. When it comes to places to stay and unwind while still having options for things to do locally, Abbey Nest is the place you want to be.
