Description

Waterfront Oasis on beautiful and quiet Lake Errock, just over an hour from Vancouver. Open concept cedar gothic-arch style cottage with dream finishes has all kinds of charm. Multiple outdoor living spaces, custom-built sunken fire pit, and electric cedar hot tub. Sun drenched decks, a huge yard and two docks for relaxation. Jump in for a swim or grab the canoe and go fishing. Within minutes of Sandpiper Golf Club and Sasquatch Mountain Resort. The space Please note! If you are interested in booking the cottage please send a request and indicate your dates. As this is a family cabin, availability is limited and preferences given to our great returning guests. Thank you! Province of British Columbia Short Term Rental Registration Number: H604579540 Once you're here there's nowhere else to be! We bought this cottage to give our family and yours the opportunity to enjoy the incredible cottage experience we grew up with. Accommodating up to six people (linens and towels provided), the multiple living spaces inside and out make this open-concept dream house the perfect escape. Whether you're coming to stay put or to enjoy nearby Sandpiper Golf Course, Harrison Hot Springs or Sasquatch Mountain Resort, this place is great in all seasons. It's so great you won't want to leave - check out the discount for week-long bookings. Living Room. With seating for six and room to spare, there are board games, books, puzzles, a Wii and a large Smart TV with Netflix/Chromecast for you to use (we have wifi but no cable). Lots of screened windows allow you to bring the outside in regardless of the weather. With both central air conditioning and heating (via a heat pump), you'll be comfortable no matter what. Kitchen. A stocked kitchen provides everything you need for cottage cooking. The impressively huge fridge is empty and nothing is left behind. As coffee lovers ourselves we provide quality coffee for you to enjoy. The dishwasher will make clean up a breeze. Bedroom. Across the hall from the washroom, the primary bedroom has a king bed and two dressers. The custom blinds (found throughout the house) can be closed if you need a bit more shut-eye in the morning. Loft. There's lots of sleeping in this open space, with a bunk-bed and a queen bed. You'll appreciate waking up with views of the water from the peaked window, and enjoying the extra living space on rainy days to curl up with a book. Washroom. There is one washroom with a shower (no bathtub) and sink. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash are provided. The house is on sensitive septic system so only biodegradable material gets flushed. Decks. The property provides more living spaces than you'll find time to use. On the road side of the house is a porch that provides a sitting area looking at the blueberry bushes with a yard for kids to play away from the water. On the lake side you'll walk out to three big decks with a dining table and umbrella (with solar lights), chairs for 6 and BBQ. While we are children and dog friendly, the yard is not fully fenced so supervision of little ones is required. Hot Tub and Outdoor Shower. This might be one of the best parts of your stay, at any time of year. The electric cedar hot tub provides you with a different type of hot tub experience. The water will be hot and ready when you arrive, but you won't find the standard lights and jets in this natural setting. Built custom from a BC company, it is made of clear Canadian Clear Red Cedar. The pleasant aromatherapy of cedar heightens the experience as you soak under the stars. Be ready for the outdoor shower as it is fed from the hose, offering a cool and refreshing way to rinse off to keep the hot tub clean. Firepit. Between the house and the lake you'll be awed by the custom built sunken fire-pit and seating. Designed by the owners before we even moved in, this was the first upgrade we made to our place because we knew how important it was to enjoy s'mores and tell stories by the campfire. On clear nights this is an incredible place to stargaze with the Big Dipper glowing right over the house. (note: when there is a fire ban in the summer, the firepits are banned and off limits). Water and Docks. What's better than one dock? How about two! With the "right dock" perfect for swimming, fishing and boat access, the "left dock" provides a great space to sit and relax in the gravity chairs. There's even a second fireplace here for enjoying the evening as the sun sets. The canoe will let you tour the peaceful lake, so bring your own water toys and you're set (there is a 10hp max on the water). Environmental Responsibility. We are environmentally responsible and hope you’ll help us to do our part minimizing our impact. We try our best to avoid plastic and minimize waste. Without curb-side pickup, garbage, recycling and compost are packed out. We'll take care of this for you at the end of your stay, but if you need it the Harrison Mills Transfer Station is a 6-min drive away. What else? We are fortunate to have great neighbours around us. As sound travels over the water, please respect the peace of the area. Fireworks are not allowed. In lieu of pet fees we encourage you to donate - Laura and Libby volunteer with PADS and the BCSPCA, respectively, and appreciate your support to either of these great causes. Lastly... it's a cottage in the pacific northwest! It can be windy, it can be rainy, there can be bugs, and the train runs frequently close by. We are pet friendly so there might be dog fur around. These are all things we love about our space and we hope you will too! Guest access Guests have the entire property to themselves. Other things to note This cottage is on a septic system and can not handle significant usage. It is limited to 6 guests staying and this includes daytime visitors as well. Please consider booking elsewhere if you intend to have people stopping by and many cars coming and going. There can be no more than six people on site at a time. There is no camping on the lawn.
