ENJOY! The house has it's own dedicated private entrance, large private patio with lounge chairs, table and chairs to dine on. Enclosed patio allows for secure storage of bikes, surf boards, etc... We are in the front house, or a phone call/text away, if you need anything. We are also happy to share the best attractions and best hiking trails... We will also tell you of all the dog friendly parks, beaches, trails, and eateries, if interested! We are in the heart of the quiet Seabright neighborhood! 1 mile from Seabright beach and the harbor, only 1 mile from downtown Santa Cruz, and a 5 - 6 minute drive to UCSC. (Also known as Eastside Santa Cruz) There is plenty of parking, very sunny. Perfect for biking it to all the hot spots. Awesome bike path through Arana Gulch, down to the harbor only 3 minutes away. Hop on the nearby freeway to either San Francisco, Monterey, Carmel or Big Sur, for the day. There are amazing eateries only 3 blocks away, as well as many state parks for serene hiking or mountain biking....needless to say we have world class surfing too! Public bus system is easily accessible. We are five minutes off hwy 1. To get around you can bring your own bikes, or use the 2 cruisers we provide. Drive, or walk almost everywhere comfortably. (2 cruiser bikes, 2 backpack style beach chairs, 2 beach towels and 2 boogie boards available for your use):-) 45 minutes from San Jose airport 1 hr from San Francisco airport 1.5 hrs to San Francisco 45 minutes to Monterey 1 hr to Carmel Our cottage is for couples or small families, a romantic get-a-way, a girls retreat, or a family reunion. A group up to 3 MAXIMUM ...3 max includes children.. This is dog friendly environment (we allow up to two, well behaved, non-barking dogs). If you have a dog, and book, you do this under the understanding that your dog does not bark, to maintain the peace and quiet for everyone, especially our neighbors...If there appears to be a problem, please be prepared to use a bark collar. You have your own very large private yard/patio, BBQ, outdoor heater, and private parking. We live in the front house. We leave you alone, unless you'd like ideas on the best restaurants and hiking trails, and the best beaches... Use of washer and dryer: Washer and Dryer are located in the front house. If you need to wash a load, please arrange in advance, as this is a shared laundry room, and we will be happy to make it available for you. The Seabright neighborhood is in the best location of all of Santa Cruz County! (My opinion)!!!! We are walking distance or a short bike ride to almost everything! The sun comes out here first...if it's foggy, we usually see the sun long before it burns off in the rest of the county! We have yummy restaurants galore all within 1/2 mile, four grocery stores to choose from also within one mile, and of course we are a short walk to the harbor and Seabright beach! The Boardwalk is also a short distance away! (very walkable) We have a neighborhood that has sidewalks, plenty of parking, and it's super quiet! Who could ask for more?:-) We provide two cruiser bicycles, but there is also a bus stop nearby that takes you right to the UCSC campus, or as far as San Jose airport or Watsonville.
