My Old Kentucky Highlands Home (Derby City)
Come stay in my Highlands home while I'm away and take advantage of all Louisville has to offer. Conveniently located just off Bardstown Road in the upper Highlands, this home is minutes away from numerous attractions. Walk to Historic Farmington and enjoy the rich history of this unique neighborhood. Homemade Pie and Ice Cream Kitchen, Oishi Sushi, and several other bars and restaurants are just steps away. The space Guests are welcome to enjoy the spacious front porch and back yard with privacy fence. The backyard area also includes patio seating, a fire pit (bring some wood), a gas grill, and a children's outdoor play set. The resident cat, Wednesday, has free reign of the backyard and typically keeps to herself. Guests have access to the kitchen, including use of all appliances. There is a dedicated shelf in the fridge for your items and feel free to help yourself to any condiments on the door. Guests have access to plates, utensils, cookware, etc. Just off of the kitchen is a bedroom with bunk beds (double with single on top) and a full bathroom with shower. The living room with sectional couch is the perfect place to watch TV and relax in the glow of the electric fireplace. The roomy upstairs bedroom has both a king bed and queen bed with super comfy memory foam mattresses and a second bathroom (with tub only). Guests are welcome to take advantage of the mini-Keurig coffee bar. Wifi is available throughout the home and is accessible from both outdoor areas. Guest access Guest will have access to the front porch, fenced backyard, living room, kitchen, and two bedrooms. (A third bedroom and basement will be inaccessible) Other things to note There is an elementary school playground across the street with a walking track. Just past the school is the historic Farmington Place.
