Built by artist Hans Van de Bovenkamp and formerly entitled "the coop," this unique European interior style building has maintained its original bird theme incorporating love of nature, simplicity and sanctuary. Enter into a spacious 20 foot ceiling open area that offers a kitchen, living room, exercise area, with 3 skylights, and 4 sliding glass doors - (a side room with 1/2 bath, washer/dryer). *Local non harmful sulfur water, carbon filter (Brita) removes for drinking. Upstairs a huge private bedroom with a/c unit, full bathroom with skylight and bidet, glass door to balcony containing Woodstock's largest "King David" wind chime. Below, a lovely private large office/work space/spare bedroom, with a large couch, lots of books, dvd's, games, Bose radio and cd's. Other items a beautiful amethyst, raw garnet, binoculars for birding, various art pieces, guitar, drum, infra-red lamps, massage equipment for your use and more! Ulster county has great local eateries, fun areas to explore, community theatre, and thousand of acres of hiking! We aspire to be "green" with walking paths, garden access, composting, leaving patches of wild plants - strawberries, black caps, grapes, and thyme. Please no outside shoes inside. We ask that you leave the center modestly clean. Cleaning fee also covers organic sanitizing. Thank you! Located on a classic country road, this rustic roost houses two apartments and 3 retreat spaces with a shared yard. I encourage feedback at the end of your stay to help in the development and enjoyment of this space. *We use an organic cleaning solution and a fogger that is used in hospitals and doctors offices. This kills 99.9% of bacteria and viruses providing an instant clean. Windchimes, skylights and a steep staircase (similar to inside a brownstone), high ceilings, full bath, yoga mats and exercise balls for stretching, meditation and relaxing. Essential oils and diffusers, eye masks, back and foot massagers, ear plugs for napping. Emergency medical kits, tea, and whole house filter as the local well water contains non harmful sulphur. The center allows for bright natural light with many sliding glass doors and passive solar light. We are located off of a country road that is a stones throw to Mohonk preserve and short car ride to Minnewaska state park with great hiking and year round activities!
