Near to Canaan Valley Davis Thomas This is a spacious master bedroom that we call the Salovaara "Sweet." It has all the space, privacy, and lovely views that has become a fast favorite for couples looking to get away for the weekend. The room features a luxurious king-sized bed, a quaint roll top writing desk, two large closets, a dresser for keeping your clothes tidy, four large windows with built-in sitting bench, and a private bathroom. As our guest, you may relax in your room, in the dining room, in the living room, on one of our wrap-around porches, lawn patio, or out by the river. There are lots of great views to choose from on this beautiful 200 acre farm. Pick your favorite! When you check in, you will be greeted by the B&B Manager, Marsha, who will be in the house and readily available from 9 am- 5 pm during the day and onsite as well during the night. She will be happy to help you out should you have any questions or concerns during your stay. The nearest grocery store is located in Davis, WV-- a 30-minute drive through the mountains. We do have a full-sized fridge with a freezer and a microwave with convection oven/air fryer settings that are shared by guests. A farm fresh breakfast is free with each room, but we also offer packed lunches and dinner for those who want to make the most of their time here on the farm. We provide farm fresh meals that are made from scratch. Some ingredients are seasonal. There are restaurants in Canaan Valley, Davis, or Thomas, which are 20-30 minutes away. You can expect peace and quiet, nature sounds, campfires, and delicious breakfasts every morning prepared on site. ~ This is a working educational farm with lots of animals and outdoor fun. We do have a resident cat and dog as well as other animals.
