The Hunter Barnhouse is a place to slow down, indulge in personal nostalgia, drink a glass (or two) of wine, and let your mind disconnect and wander. A place designed for friends and family. For good food and good conversation. There's hiking in the summer, skiing in the winter, mountain fresh air and dark, starry nights. This is a house, and you can treat it as such. We're located in Jewett, NY, two hours north of NYC and ten minutes from both Hunter and Windham ski mountains. We are close to the shops and restaurants in Tannersville, Hunter, and Windham towns. We are also located close to Kaaterskill Falls, North-South Lake, and Colgate Lake (which we highly recommend visiting!) The house is well appointed with everything you need for a comfortable stay, including a fully equipped kitchen, more coffee brewing devices than are probably necessary, Avalon Organics bath products, a record player, board games, books, and an internet/Netflix enabled TV. We also have a hot tub(!), outdoor fireplace and grill, fire pit, outdoor dining area, and open yard for all manner of sunbathing and sports. All linens (towels, sheets, duvets) are by Parachute Home. All mattresses are from Tuft & Needle Please be respectful of our home and our belongings. A lot of time and effort has gone into making this space as comfortable as possible and we hope to share it for a long time.
