This 1-2 bedroom, 2 person listing available for last minute bookings! River's Bend Retreat is close to redwood forests, Anderson Valley wine country, and the Mendocino Coast. You'll love our place because of the coziness, natural setting, beautiful light of the meadow and shadowy forest, peacefulness, friendly locals. This is a great destination for individuals on personal retreat, couples, creatives who want time to write or draw, and families (with kids). The space Sunset is a two-story lodge style accommodation with access to first floor and only 1 bedroom. There is also a large upper deck overlooking the forest, a spacious living/meeting room with couches, conference size table with chairs, and a tiny kitchenette tucked away in a closet. The kitchenette includes a sink, kitchen cart, 2 small fridge, microwave, hot plate, coffee maker, toaster oven and plates, pots and pans, cutting board, cups and eating utensils. Guest access We are lucky to be surrounded by Oak and Coast Redwood trees and the Navarro River runs through the property which has a beautiful swimming hole for all guests. Site Access: USE OF THE GROUNDS is reserved for our guests or staff. We are bordered by Hendy Woods State park accessible across the river and through our campground. On all other sides there is PRIVATE PROPERTY. -There are 9 lodges located on the property as well as other administrative buildings. We also host special events and weddings if you are looking for a space for a large group… -Library: Located near the office. Open 24/7 -Garden: Feel free to look and smell. Please do not harvest (this is a staff garden) Other things to note All guests should bring: -Bedding is provided but please bring your own bath & river towels. Not included because it helps us save significant amounts of water. -A flashlight -Comfortable sturdy shoes (water shoes if you intend to explore the Navarro River) -Some kind of sweater or light jacket for cool, coastal evenings (even in warm season) and a raincoat for spring and fall stays. A hat for rain and/or sun. -Toiletries, including soap and shampoo -Insect repellent.
