Quail Bell Cottage, near Yosemite & Kings Canyon.

This is a free-standing home built specifically as a vacation rental cottage in early 2020. It is a quiet, comfortable space in a rural setting with a private patio and views of the Sierra foothills. It is a perfect spot for a family or couple wanting to visit the National Parks nearby (80 min. to Yosemite, 120+ to Sequoia and Kings Canyon). That being said, please read further to learn why there are so many photos of rattlesnakes in my listing. All good things come with inherent challenges... The space Inside it's a beautiful space, with a fully equipped kitchen, spacious living room and master bedroom. The latter two rooms have high vaulted ceilings and are very comfortable. The entire space is air conditioned and kept immaculately clean for guests. Television is limited as we don't have access to cable here, but Netflix is available on it and through our account, and you can log into other streaming services as well if you like. Please remember to log your account out before you leave if you do this though. That being said about the inside of the cottage, there's an important fact about the outside that I want potential guests to be aware of before they book with us; we live in a rural area where rattlesnakes are common, so we see a lot of them in the yard. I'm a biologist, and I know how important rattlesnakes are to a healthy ecosystem, so I don't kill them. when I find them, I move them out into the pasture where they are unlikely to bother anyone, but you should know that they are here. Guest access Guests will have access through a key code door, and parking is right by the door. Our house is nearby, about 100 feet from the cottage, but guests have the entire cottage to themselves and are welcome to walk around the property at will as long as they agree not to step on any rattlesnakes. Other things to note Electric vehicle charging is available for guests at no additional charge. The cottage is equipped with a Level-2 (50 amp) Tesla charging station, and charging a non-Tesla vehicle can be done using a Tesla to J1772 Adapter, which is available in one of the kitchen drawers. If you are coming to visit Yosemite, please be sure to visit the park website (nps(dot)gov/yose) in order to become familiar with any reservation requirements and also the Federal and State laws regarding chain control if you are intending to drive in Yosemite National Park between November and March. You will not be allowed to enter the park without tire chains if the chain control rules are in effect.
