Cozy 3 bedroom cottage located in Baileys Harbor. Bring the family or have a quiet getaway surrounded by Toft Point State Natural Area. Enjoy all that Door County has to offer while staying on the cooler "quiet side" ! Enjoy woodland walks, a bike ride to the town beach, or watch herons, egrets and waterfowl through the picture windows. Our location is remote from the heavy tourist destinations but within close accessibility for daytime shopping and dining. The house is lovingly hand-crafted and cozy. It overlooks a sheltered cove full of wildlife. Amenities include: Bottled water service, New 3-burner gas grill, satellite TV, a new stereo Receiver CD player (w/ipod input, Alexa Internet tuner, bluetooth). Wireless with moderate (1-2 Mb/s) bandwidth is provided. Device chargers and cords (iphone/lightning, USB-C and USB-micro) are provided. You will have access to the entire main house, shed and grounds. The garage is used privately by the owners. The shore in the area is rocky and we recommend bringing an old pair of tennis shoes to wade into the water or swim. A sand beach is two miles back towards town and is a favorite of kite surfers and swimmers. Bring your own bikes and kayaks. The islands which form the cove in front of the house include a unique birdcage lighthouse from the 1860s which is no longer in service. These islands are privately owned and access is strictly prohibited. Myself and the owners of this little gem truly hope that you enjoy your stay with us! A retreat like atmosphere while still being close to the get up and go of the community. We do ask that you be respectful of noise for our residential neighbors. Baileys Harbor (2.5miles) has great restaurants and nightlife and it is a pretty drive to other towns like Egg Harbor, Fish Creek or Sister Bay (all 10-15 min drive). Ridges road cuts through the Ridges Sanctuary and Toft Point State Natural Area. This is a great place to walk, run or ride a bike. The Hickey Brothers Fish Market is walking distance (.5mi) from the house, A few things to note about your stay is garbage and lawn care.
