Redwing Retreat: A Secluded Cabin in Ohio

Redwing Retreat is located just outside of Athens, Ohio (home to Ohio University). It offers all of the comforts of home, plus the relaxing and replenishing effects of nature. The cabin has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, and comfortably sleeps 6 people. It has a covered wrap-around porch with a hammock, plenty of lounge seating, and a grill. It is situated on 63 acres and is completely private. Athens and Ohio University are a short 20-25 minute drive away. The space The cabin is a log home made of hemlock. It features: -1,056 square feet -2 bedrooms, 1 bath -Sleeps 4-6 (2nd floor bedroom has a queen bed and two twin beds that can be combined to create a king bed, 1st floor bedroom has a queen bed) -Open floor plan -Hardwood floors -Fully-equipped kitchen -Full bath with clawfoot tub/shower combination The cabin is surrounded by a covered wrap around porch that is perfect for relaxing during the day or viewing the stars at night. The porch features: -Outdoor dining room table -Rocking chairs -Lounge seating -Hammock The cabin also features the following amenities: -Air conditioning and heat -Television (with basic reception), a DVD player, and a library of DVDs -Record player and stereo -Books from all genres -Kitchen staples -Kitchen utensils and cookware -Microwave, toaster, griddle, and coffee maker -Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, and lotion -Hair dryer -Linens and towels -Washer and dryer -Propane grill -Fire ring A few things to note: a 4x4 vehicle is highly recommended during the winter months, as the driveway is gravel and quite hilly. Also, we do not allow hunting on the property. Guest access During your stay, you will have access to the cabin and all 63 acres.
