The 1860s Waterfall Retreat features 2 units within 1 old farmhouse with epic backyard views of the falls with an old interior charm & convenient location to Olde Mill House Shoppes, Amish friends, Lancaster Central Market, Strasburg Railroad, Lititz, etc. Your private bridge to the park allows you to hike, fish, & walk your dog along the creek. Canoe/kayak, play horseshoes, croquet, garden, etc. in the yard! Gather by the fire pit or cozy up by the wood stove! Dog friendly w small fee. The space The home is perfect for you to travel comfortably with many friends and family - especially your kids with doggy paws, but still have time to truly get away in your own space within the Waterfall Retreat. Each floor has a fully furnished 2 bedroom (each with queen bed), 1 full bath apartment with living areas and fully stocked kitchen. The first floor apartment features a separate summer kitchen that is unique to the 1860s Farmhouse architecture, an extra living space/dining room that overlooks the waterfall, & a living area with a wood stove perfect for taking the chill off in the winter months. The second floor apartment features an amazing full bath with clawfoot tub/shower combo, a washer/dryer & an even more amazing view of the waterfall from the living room & massive deck. We find this layout perfect for being together yet separate while traveling with family that you may not have seen in awhile. BRINGING A DOG? We love hosting families with pups - Contact us when you are booking and tell us about your pup(s). Please verify that the pup is up to date on shots and flea and tick preventative. If approved, it will be an additional 10/night per dog. There is off street parking for 4 cars or vehicles that fit in normal parking spaces (please communicate in your inquiry if you plan on bringing a larger vehicle), as the parking area is limited. The owner does not stay in the home while you are there, but will likely be present on the property at the neighboring barn and will need access into and out of the driveway at all times. Guest access The guests have access to the entire home and all of the grounds. The basement is off limits to guests unless there is an emergency need to access it. The owner does not stay in the home while you are there, but may be present on the property and may access the basement through the outside doors. Our booking process recently changed and we will add a nightly fee $15 per dog per night to cover our extra cleaning costs. Please verify in your message that the dog is up to date on shots and flea and tick preventative and that you will agree to limit any stress for your pet and any preventable negative impact on your dog and the home.
