Walk everywhere! All of Midtown’s best restaurants, bars, theaters, and live music are just steps from your door in Overton Square, the hottest neighborhood in Memphis. You're also just a short walk to Overton Park and Cooper Young, and a 10 minute drive downtown. Though in the heart of it all, our home offers a relaxing oasis with high ceilings, beautiful outdoor spaces, eclectic art, and large, colorful rooms full of charm and character. Have a drink on the porch, kick your feet up, and relax. The space Two-thousand square feet of comfort. Our home is an airy two-bed, two-bath with a fully fenced rear garden and deck, and a lovely screened-in front porch perfect for lingering over coffee in the morning or a glass of wine at night. From the porch you can enjoy the crowds heading to Overton Square and the ballerinas dancing at Ballet Memphis across the street. In the house you'll find two separate living areas with large, comfy couches where you can escape to after a busy day exploring Memphis. For larger groups, we can add a queen-sized raised air mattress to one of living rooms to create a third bedroom. You'll also have access to a full kitchen with plenty of counter space for entertaining, a walk-in pantry and a dining area overlooking the back deck. Feel free to peruse the beautiful art on our walls or the books in our living room library. In the rear of the house you'll find a landscaped back yard and large deck overlooking an array of beautiful ferns, hostas, azaleas and hydrangeas. Sit out back and enjoy the garden while you fire up the grill or pick fresh herbs from the herb garden. Private off street parking is available in the back of the house, as on-street parking fills up whenever Overton Square gets busy. Though just steps away from the Square's many restaurants, bars, and theaters, our home sits on a hill screened by crepe myrtles, so it maintains privacy even during busy weekend nights. Our home is truly in the middle of it all. You are walking distance to Overton Park, the Memphis Zoo, Cooper Young, and the many shops, restaurants, theaters and live music of Midtown, and just a short uber ride downtown. Guest access You'll have access to the full house except for: •The 3rd bedroom where we store our personal things when away •The attic •Personal items like any clothes in drawers or food in the pantry Other things to note We live in our home and rent it out when we travel, so you'll notice some of our personal things like clothes in the closets and staples in the pantry. We clean the house scrupulously before we leave and are sure to always clear out drawers and closet space for our guests. Personally, we like when a home feels lived in, but we understand if that's not your style. We also have amazing dogs that we take with us whenever we leave. And though we clean the house deeply before we go, if you have strong pet allergies or will be bothered by stray dog hairs here and there, you may want to consider other options.
