Welcome to your house in Russell. This beautiful home, built in 1919 with original wood floors throughout, is your perfect hometown getaway. Completely renovated in 2017, it now accommodates up to 11 people in 4 bedrooms. On the historic bricks of tree-lined Kansas Street, Mahoney House is close to I-70 and 1 block from Main Street. Our shady, fully fenced back yard is a peaceful & inviting retreat. This is an ideal refuge for individuals, couples, families and groups visiting Russell. The Mahoney house, built in 1919, is a well known home in Russell, KS. A little more than 2,000 square feet, this house was thoroughly renovated and updated in the winter of 2017. Loaded with original art throughout, you'll enjoy a new gourmet kitchen with quartz & marble countertops and a gas range. The main floor features a large, comfortable, well-appointed living room on the left, and an open kitchen and dining room on the right. In the living room, you'll find a 77" television with Amazon Firestick. Dining room has a table which can seat up to 10 people when the leaf is installed. A new bathroom with shower and a laundry room with new appliances complete the downstairs. On the upper level you'll find 4 luxuriously-appointed bedrooms, 3 of which feature king size beds that can accommodate 2 guests in each. The last bedroom is designed for kids with two bunk beds: a full-over-full and a twin-over-twin, in addition to a twin trundle bed. The upstairs bath is all new, including an onyx shower/tub, dual rainfall shower, endless hot water and luxe shampoo/conditioner/shower gel. We provide heaps of wonderfully soft, absorbent towels for guests. The Mahoney House is your house in Russell. Our guests have access to the entire home for the duration of their stay. The kitchen is incredibly well-equipped with a gas range, convection microwave and dishwasher, and just about any utensil and appliance you could need for cooking/baking/serving. The laundry room has a large-load washer and dryer, yours to use. We are available any time through AirBnB, and our contact details are also listed on the Mahoney House FB page. Dustin's parents, Larry & Sandy, are right across the street at 217 N. Kansas in case of emergency. The Mahoney house is situated 1 mile from I-70 in a quiet, historic, residential neighborhood. The house is one block from Main Street and it's an easy walk to downtown, where antique stores, the Dream Theater, Waudby's Restaurant & Bar, Espresso Etc., The Kitchen Vault, Russell Specialty Books, and many other specialty stores thrive. This is a safe, welcoming neighborhood: our neighbors include the Chief of Police next door & two Sheriff's Deputies on the block, and our neighborhood watch is thorough and effective. Parking is available in the driveway or on the street in front of the house. The detached garage is used for storage and is not suitable for parking vehicles. Please note that our base rate covers the first 4 guests. Additional guests (up to 11) are welcome at $15 per person per night.
