As you consider staying with us, we want to provide you with some important information about our home. Here are a few things to keep in mind: 1. Living Arrangements: * Our family resides upstairs, including my husband, two adult children, and our three adorable small dogs. * Meet the “Welcoming Committee”: Lilly and Philly, the energetic chihuahua mixes, and Delilah (affectionately known as Dilly), the slightly less energetic miniature dachshund. Be prepared for enthusiastic barking whenever you step outside. 🐾 2. Backyard and Pool Access: * The backyard, including the pool area, is off-limits to guests. We apologize for any inconvenience, but this restriction is in place for everyone’s safety and privacy. 3. Sleep Considerations: * If you and your group are heavy sleepers, you’ll feel right at home. However, please note that our household operates on a mix of traditional and non-traditional hours. * Light sleepers or those seeking absolute peace and quiet may want to consider other options. 4. Noise Expectations: * We value transparency, so let’s talk about noise: * TV Volumes: Occasionally, you might hear the TV from upstairs. We’ll do our best to keep it at a reasonable level. * Miniature Buffalos: Yes, that’s how our dogs sound when they’re excitedly running up and down the hallway. * Mystery Noise: The “power tools” noise? It’s likely our dishwasher or our trusty robotic vacuum doing its thing. * Stomping and Echoes: Late-night footsteps from above can reverberate throughout the house. * Earplugs: We provide earplugs as a thoughtful touch, just in case. * Barking Dogs: Our furry friends take their guard duties seriously. We aren’t kidding about them barking at you! * Household Sounds: Doors and cabinets might assert themselves with enthusiasm, and household appliances hum along. 5. Hot Water Consideration: * Occasionally, guests may experience a temporary shortage of hot water. This can happen when both upstairs residents and downstairs guests happen to take showers simultaneously. We appreciate your understanding in such situations. 6. The guest will have access to the downstairs level of the home only. This includes fenced in area around basement door and the entire downstairs—includes living room, dining area, kitchen, bathroom, downstairs entrance, and laundry room. There is a locked door in between the top and bottom floors. Other things to note Our home is located at the far end of a 1/2 mile long dirt road, watch out for all of the many potholes!
