Stay at our historic 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath 1820's home, stylishly and lovingly restored by noted Designer/Author Tricia Foley. You will have private access to the entire 2 acre property on the tranquil Carmans River. Highlights include the main house with 2 soaking tubs, year round hot tub, 5 fireplaces, gym, and laundry room. There are also 4 stand alone buildings for guests use - a boathouse with a private dock, a separate studio with 2 bikes for use, & garden house for relaxing. The space With an abundance of historical charm and modern updates for both relaxing and working from home, our place is a true gem and perfect for an escape for the weekend, a holiday or a longer stay. Our lovely 200 year old main house has four upstairs bedrooms and 2.5 baths. The chic and stylish main house is decorated with a mix of antiques from the 1800s and designer furniture, is impeccably clean, and has a multitude of modern amenities. Two of the bedrooms have desk space and one desk setup has a Herman Miller office chair. The private outbuildings also make perfect solo retreats for anyone working remote. Our Guests have full access to the private property which nestles the river and includes the main house as well as 4 out buildings.It is a very quiet and tranquil retreat, no matter the season. The Main house features: The downstairs includes a large formal living room with fireplace, a TV room with 55" Samsung HD4K television and fireplace, separate dining room for formal entertaining, powder room and cozy eat-in kitchen. The kitchen features antique cabinets from the 1800s, a thermador gas range, a designer range hood (not yet pictures) dishwasher, microwave, a fireplace and an antique table for dining. There is an extensive array of cooking tools including salt and pepper, olive oil, spices, sharp knives, salad spinner, cutting boards, food processor, baking sheets, basic spices, electric hand mixer, array of pots and pans, dutch oven, cocktail glasses, wine glasses, microwave, French press and tea kettle. Downstairs there is also an additional full refrigerator for guest use. A Jura espresso maker is a highlight in the kitchen ! There is high speed wifi provided with Eero wifi network making it possible for multiple people to be working at the same time. Additionally All buildings on our property are equipped with wifi boosters so Internet can be accessed throughout the 2 acres. There are 3 fireplaces on the main floor for guest use with duraflame logs. The basement includes a gym with new treadmill, stationary bike, free weights, pull-up station, and plenty of room for yoga, and a tv for streaming any workouts. There is also a large laundry room with new washer and dryer which guests may use during their stay. The upstairs has four bedrooms including - 1-Master bedroom with Queen bed, 32 inch Samsung frame TV, fireplace and ensuite bath with deep soaking tub. 2- Full bedroom featuring antiques from the 1800s, luxurious 800 thread count sheets. 3- Larger Queen bedroom in the front of the house with luxurious 800 thread count sheets and a desk space with Herman Miller chair if needed to work remotely. 4- Twin bedroom with two antique beds. A Desk is also located in this room for Remote work. 2 full bathrooms for guest use are located upstairs including the Master ensuite bath with deep soaking tub and shower as well as the hall bathroom with the original antique clawfoot tub and separate shower. Guests are provided fine linens, towels and bathroom amenities - shampoo, conditioner, soap, blow dryer, and cleaning and laundry supplies for use. Immediately Outside our home there is a attached covered back porch with wicker loungers and a brick patio with a dining table and barbecue grill. There is a Sundance hot tub on the patio heated year round to 104 degrees where you can soak and relax under the stars. Beyond this, enjoy exploring the grounds which includes a boathouse with a private dock and multiple unique structures; the original outhouse, restored chicken coop for relaxing or a quiet space to retreat, and a designer studio once featured on the cover of Martha Stewart Living. The studio is a chic lounge space with ping pong, foosball, and a sectional couch. We also have 2 bikes for guest use in the studio. The boathouse with private dock is the perfect place to watch the sunset, feed the swans or dine alfresco waterside. Other notable features include: high speed internet, designer furniture inside and out, Jura Espresso machine, 2 bikes (we do not provide helmets), an array of books to read, and board games (Monopoly, Scrabble, Uno, etc). There are 3 smart TVs in the home - in the gym, front parlor and master bedroom. Guest access: Entire home- kitchen, dining room, formal living room, TV room, four bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms with one clawfoot tub and one shower/deep tub combo, and basement with gym and laundry. 4 outbuildings as described above. We do have a couple locked cabinets and closets throughout the home however they will not impact your stay in any way. Guest access Guests have full access to the private property which nestles the river and includes the main house as well as 4 out buildings. There are 4 parking spots in our driveway when double parked. The hot tub is available for use year round. We do have a few locked owner's cabinets and the garage and utility room in the basement are off limits.
