Chesnutt Room @local B&B - Breakfast Included!

Welcome to our historical Bed & Breakfast. You'll find the comfort of home and make lasting memories during your stay on Haymount Hill at The MacPherson House within easy walking distance from the downtown district. Each room features its own fireplace, en suite bathroom, beautifully restored windows and a luxurious King size bed. In each room you'll find luxury toiletries, robes and towels. Currently we are offering a brown-bag breakfast to-go with coffee and tea throughout the house. The space The Chesnutt room is a guest favorite. It features a serene view of the botanical grounds of the B&B. Named after Charles Chesnutt (1858-1932), the first African-American author to receive widespread critical acclaim. His parents were "free persons of color" and he was raised in Fayetteville. With a plush King size bed and beautiful antique wardrobe, the Chesnutt room has a private en-suite bathroom with a corner shower and toilet. The unique in-room vanity is to the left of the original fireplace The room's king bed features a plush euro top mattress with cooling graphite-infused high density memory foam and additional back and lumbar support for your best night's sleep. The Chesnutt is on the second floor to the right of the stairs. A circle drive at the front entrance is available for check in and drop off/pickup with additional parking down a set of steps to the rear of the property. Enjoy a sweet tea on the sprawling front porch or a glass of wine in the evening on the back porch, which is a shared space accessible by the main downstairs hallway. The porch is a perfect place to enjoy breakfast, too! A dining room is shared by guests, and we ask that guests practice social distancing in the shared spaces at this time.
