Desert Road Escape

Located on 13 shared partially fenced desert acres, this newly constructed modern rustic one bedroom 800+ square foot home offers a unique, peaceful experience. It is about a half mile off paved road, so the last short portion of the drive to the house is a county maintained dirt road. Dishwasher does not function properly, so hand washing at this time only :) Please read more about the space below for more details The space Completed in 2020, this unique one bedroom one bath desert home has everything you need for a comfortable restful private stay. The bed is 10" memory foam with added two inch gel memory foam topper for your comfort, and the couch in living room is large and comfortable. Would be perfect for travelling couples, or a possible third additional guest by request only. The bathroom is in the master bedroom, but has its own door. It is only accessible by passing through the master bedroom. The property: The property is 13 acres and shared; meaning there is a on-site groundskeeper who resides in a separate unit. The entry to the house has a key lock box near the main front door. Once a reservation is made and the pre-booking questions answered, I will send written directions to the house including a few pictures for guidance plus the key lock box access code. The kitchen: Fridge with filtered water and ice maker in door Toaster Microwave Coffee (k-cup and french press) including choice of K-Cup coffees or coffee grounds + creamers provided French press and water boiler if you'd prefer making coffee that way Choice of sodas in fridge Paper towels for clean up Pots and pans for cooking, plus noodle strainer + chopping blocks + chefs knives Forks, knives, spoons, plates, cups and bowls Utensils for cooking, wine opener, peelers, scissors, can opener Basic spices, olive oil for cooking and balsamic vinegar for salads Propane stove The bathroom: Towels, washcloths, toilet paper, hand soap, body wash, shampoo and conditioner as well as laundry basket provided Internet and TV: TV is a 46" flat screen in living room and offers ROKU, Netflix and Pluto. WiFi network name and password will be given after reservation is made. The bedroom: Memory foam 10" queen mattress with memory gel foam 2" topper, with fitted sheet, cover sheet, blanket and four pillows Alarm clock with usb charging port for cell phones Closet with hangers Stairs and Upstairs: Upstairs is not open to guests, is used as a store room for supplies Important: When booking your reservation please be aware that Arizona in the summer brings monsoon rains, which can approach quite quickly and wash out roads, etc. Please be mindful and act according and with caution. With the monsoon season comes many insects and animals which are attracted to the moisture. Insects are attracted to light and congregate where there is light at dusk and after dark, so keeping outside lights to a minimum and keeping doors closed is a must. There are snakes, lizards, scorpions, tarantula spiders, and even desert tortoises which will sometimes show up, and bats sometimes swoop in at night feeding on these insects. Rabbits, birds, burros (which are wild) and even cows roam the desert. Pest control is part of our regular maintenance, however it is up to the guest to be mindful, keep doors closed, shoes on and outside lights to a minimum.
