Our property has a rich history, having been a bar and brothel in the late 1800s, then a travelers’ hotel in the mid-1950s. Now, thanks to platforms like Airbnb, the Capitol Hotel Building is once again welcoming travelers. We’ve transformed the original hotel rooms into spacious vacation suites that are perfect for visiting the National Parks or a weekend getaway. Our vacation suite is located in the heart of historic Buffalo, ensuring that you have everything you need for a memorable stay. The space We are a CITY APPROVED, seasonal, pet-free vacation rental property located in the converted Historic Capitol Hotel Building. We welcome travelers from all over the world from May to October. Our property is situated on Main Street, in the heart of Buffalo’s downtown historic district. We offer a convenient VIRTUAL self-check-in system, utilizing our 24-hour monitored surveillance camera system. You’ll receive a unique code via email, granting you access to your apartment. Your key code will never be shared with previous guests; it’s a personal number provided during your reservation. This apartment is situated on the second floor, accessible only by stairs. (No elevator.) Please be prepared to climb the same 25 steps that cowboys did over a century ago. The Historic Antelope Suite comprises five of the original hotel rooms, each offering stunning views of Main Street and sunrise. It’s a spacious one-bedroom apartment with additional beds in the living room. Upon entering the suite, you’ll find your bedroom to the right, equipped with a king-size bed, cable television, a ceiling fan, central air conditioning, and a closet. A hallway and kitchen separate the bedroom from the living area. The living room features a second cable television, a dining table, three beautiful floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Main Street, and two single beds. The bathroom boasts a walk-in shower, a toilet, a sink with a vanity and mirror. The compact kitchen is equipped with full-size kitchen appliances, including a refrigerator, stove, and oven. Additionally, it includes an air fryer, a coffee machine, a tea kettle, a microwave, and all the necessary pots, pans, dishes, and glassware for your stay. Our walls are warped, and our floors are slanted. We restored her history and added most of today’s comforts, such as running water, electricity, central heat, and central air conditioning. Take a walk on the floors that cowboys trod over a century ago and discover the secret back staircase that provided access to the second-floor brothel for the “ladies of the night.” Our location is unparalleled. We’re situated amidst the vibrant downtown dining and shopping district. Crazy Women Square, a popular event venue, is just across the street, and George Washington Park, home to Wyoming’s largest swimming pool, tennis courts, playground, and walking paths, is just a block away. Buffalo, Wyoming, is conveniently located halfway between Yellowstone National Park and Mount Rushmore. Two hours north is Billings, Montana, and five hours south is Denver, Colorado. We’re conveniently situated near numerous national parks and international airports. Guest access Private apartment in a converted historic hotel building with a shared outdoor grilling area, a gas grill, a table, and fresh herbs. You’ll receive a key code before your arrival. Our building has two entrances. One is at the front, giving you access to Main Street. The other entrance is at the rear, leading to the BBQ area and rear parking. Other things to note We’re nestled on the second floor of a historic building that’s been around for over a century. Since there’s no elevator here, you’ll have to take the stairs, just like the cowboys did over a hundred years ago! Just a heads up, we don’t allow any pets in our cottage. I’m allergic to animals, and since I take care of the place before, during, and after your stay, it could put my health at risk. If you or anyone in your group is caught with an animal on our property, you’ll be charged an extra $150 for cleaning and will have to leave the cottage right away. That means you’ll lose any refund you had.
