The Rice Cottage is located within the Historic District and is all on One level. It provides all the modern conveniences within a home built in the 1950’s. Cook your dinner in a well stocked kitchen with fresh seafood from the local the docks just a few blocks away...or continue up the street to many dining establishments along the waterfront. Many historic sites to visit. Brochures are provided. Books and games are provided also. Enjoy coffee or cocktails on the screened in porch! The space Day trips are easy! Beaches: Take St James St to the North and head for the beautiful Bridges across three rivers that converge into Winyah Bay. Pawleys Island is a public beach that is uncrowded and only 10 min. away. Continue on to Murrels Inlet for dining on the waterfront. Then onto Myrtle Beach 30 miles from the Rice Cottage. Also you may enjoy visiting Brookegreen Gardens that’s along the way. Walk under Old Oaks to the Georgetown waterfront for dining and shopping. Pick up fresh shrimp right off the boat at Independent Seafood for dinner! Fishing Tournaments are popular in Georgetown and river tours are too! Historic homes and Plantations are open for tour The area has so much to offer! Enjoy your busy day. Then come relax at the Rice Cottage on the large screen porch, old English brick patio enclosed with a privacy fence and lovely backyard. Grill out on the patio and eat outside. Or just relax in house with comfortable furniture and beds and TV’s in all three bedrooms and living room. The Cottage has all of the modern conveniences and well stocked. If you need anything, we are nearby and only a call or text away. Easy check-in and check- out! Guest access Unlock your stay by pressing the door keypad on the front door. Access is only two steps to the front door from a lovely brick walkway connected to the street sidewalk. Park in the driveway and/or on the concrete pad. Street parking is also permitted. You have access to all parts of the Rice Cottage! Other things to note Neighborhood is safe. Neighbors are friendly. It is a wonderful walking under the Live Oaks and site seeing historic homes. The age of the Historic homes plaques with their dates.
