Country Getaway Close to the City Room #3

Description

"Come for the lodging, stay for the adventure..." Many of my guests might say 😂 This property is best suited for guests who enjoy rural living, nature, and the relaxed pace of the countryside rather than a hotel-style experience. Large country 5 bedroom home on 30 acres just off Hwy 52 about 10 miles north of Rochester. 4 guest bedrooms I Airbnb out. My room/bathroom is on main floor. The space If you want to get away from busy city life...this is the place for you! Please note: Guest rooms are accessed by stairs. This home is not suitable for guests with mobility limitations. A 5 bed/3 bath house in Pine Island with 4 Airbnb bedrooms that I would like see used and make extra $ to fund various projects I'm doing with the house/hay for the animals during the winter. This bedroom is in the newly finished off basement area , living room with gas fireplace, kitchen area with sink, full size fridge/eating area, pantry, full bathroom, utility/laundry room. Also the "Kitty Cat Condo" under the stairs where litter boxes/cat food for the cat food. This room has a queen size and full size bed. You would also share a full bathroom with whomever is in the other Airbnb room in the basement. About the Hobby Farm... This is a real hobby farm, not a petting zoo. Animals come and go depending on the season, fencing, and farm projects. Some stays may include horses or cattle in the pasture, while other times the property may only have the resident dogs, cats, and local wildlife. Rural life changes with the seasons, and that’s part of the charm of staying here. **There are 2 indoor cats in the house for those with allergies**. Also these cats are strictly indoors because my dogs and other predators will kill them if left outside 😬. So make sure you are diligent and closing doors when coming and going from the house. 2nd floor Airbnb rooms (#1 &2). Basement Airbnb bedrooms (Room #3 ). This listing is one of the basement #3. 2013-2015 : installed wood floors on main/2nd floor rooms, outdoor patio/firepit Fenced off property for pasture 🐮🐎 2017 New AC/Furnace 2018 Installed freestanding solar panels on South side of house Bought an old truck with a plow for plowing snow 2019: New woodstove in main floor living room 2020: finished off basement for 2 additional bedrooms, full bath, kitchen area, living room with fireplace! 2021: Bathroom remodel to 2nd Floor bathroom and my bathroom on main level ongoing: Still planning on building an edition off dining room/kitchen My two dogs Daisy (14yr old Mountain Cur) and Ginger are my dogs that people were giving away. They are the friendliest dogs you will ever meet although they might appear somewhat big intimidating when you see them running towards you to welcome as you drive in. I live in the woods and the dogs like to hunt...so you may see the occasional dead animal the dogs catch laying around outside. Many times they will bring their catches near the house to show off there hunting skillz to us humans 🦝🐰🐍🐿️🐾 Max is strictly indoor indoor cat. If you shut the door to your bedroom make sure you don't lock the cat in your room. The only litter boxes are in the basement. Also if more people need to be accommodated I also have a few couches for people to sleep on Guest access Keypad through locks in front/back door. Code will be given to guests on arrival During your stay You can interact with me as little or as much as you want. Other things to note Welcome to the Hobby Farm – A Few Things to Know Staying on a farm is a little different than staying at a hotel downtown. Most guests love it — but we like to give everyone a quick heads-up about the realities of country life so there are no surprises. 1. The Dogs Work Here Our dogs take their security jobs very seriously. They may greet you, follow you around the property, or supervise your activities. They are friendly and part of the farm family. Occasionally they may proudly deliver “findings” from their wildlife patrol. Yes, sometimes this includes things like sticks, bones… or the occasional deer-related situation. This is normal farm behavior. 2. Wildlife Exists You may see deer, turkeys, coyotes, raccoons, rabbits, and other critters around the property. This is one of the perks of staying out in the country — but remember, this is their neighborhood too. 3. Country Sounds Are Real At night you may hear: - coyotes singing - frogs - owls - wind through the trees - farm animals doing their thing Think of it as nature’s white noise. 4. Farm Fashion Is Casual You may see the host wandering around in boots, braids, or possibly extremely questionable Walmart pants. Farm couture is not regulated here. 5. Mud Happens Depending on weather and season, the property may include mud, snow, dust, leaves, sticks, and general outdoor chaos. If you came for a perfectly manicured lawn… you may be slightly disappointed. If you came for fresh air and nature, you’ll be very happy. 6. Relax — That’s the Whole Point Most people come here to unplug, breathe, and experience a little slice of country life. Slow down, enjoy the quiet, and don’t worry if things feel a little less polished than a city hotel. That’s part of the charm. Welcome to the farm.
