The Teal Door Cabin offers the perfect balance of comfort and simplicity — pet-friendly, filled with natural light, and minutes from Lake of Egypt, local wineries, and hiking trails in Shawnee National Forest. Guests love relaxing on the porch, fishing in the stocked pond, or unwinding after a day of Southern Illinois adventure. Other things to note A rental agreement is required with ID verification within 48 hours of booking. Check-in is after 3 PM. Check-out is before 10 AM. Inventory: We provide a "starter package" of inventory for our cabin: 3 rolls of T.P. and 1 full roll of paper towels. Guests not staying overnight are welcomed. Loud, disruptive parties are not. BYO Beach Towels: There is a pond/beach area on site. We only provide bath towels. A total of 3 cabins and a 1.5-acre pond sit on 5 acres behind our home estate, separated by a privacy fence. Our Golden Retriever, Kevin, occasionally greet guests. Live music plays on weekends at the local bait store, Just Add Water, and Pyramid Acres Marina during lake season- it carries across the field to the cabins.
