This Chestnut Lodge is a rustic three bedroom, two and half bath - 2,000 sq. foot secluded cabin that sleeps up to 8 people. Located just half a mile to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, trails, waterfalls, fly fishing, tubing, swimming, horseback riding, and 10 minutes to the heart of Bryson City with the Smoky Mountain Railroad. The Chestnut Lodge sits right on a small private pond with a beautiful 50 ft waterfall that is for your enjoyment alone. The space Sit back and relax on the deck and enjoy the beautiful sounds of the waterfall. Roast marshmallows in the fire pit area. The fire pit is next to the hot tub. Three bedrooms are enclosed - the fourth is in an open area without a door. This home allows pets with a one time pet fee of $120. Just let us know if your pet will be traveling with you. *2 dogs max* There is plenty of room for your entire party to spread out and relax. The first great room has a sitting area for your family and leads to the kitchen. The second great room features a pool table. The kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances, and pots and pans for cooking meals. We also have a guitar and blue tooth speaker available for use In addition to the large gathering areas, there is one bedroom with a queen size bed, the second bedroom has a full size bed, and third bedrooms has one full bed and one bunk bed. There is also a fourth area set up as an additional bedroom with a full size bed. All mattresses are memory foam and we have four different types of pillows so you can find one style that fits your comfort level. The Lodge is located just minutes to downtown Bryson City, where you can enjoy the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad, dining, and shopping opportunities. In just a 20 minute drive you can enjoy the Cherokee Indian Reservation, Harrah's Cherokee Casino, and another entrance to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park where you will find many beautiful scenic drives, hiking trails, waterfalls, and more. In just a 20 minute drive you can enjoy all the Nanatahala River Gorge has to offer, including whitewater rafting, kayaking, ziplining, horseback riding, fishing, and hiking. Things to note: This is an older rustic mountain cabin. Many parts have been updated and remodeled, however you will still find parts that are rough around the edges. It is always a process with an older cabin that gets a lot of use. We also ask that you not play loud music outside. Sound has a tendency to travel in the holler and neighbors are sensitive to it. Please also note, the fireplaces in the photos are not operational. Guest access The cabin is about a half mile off a main road. Parts of the road are gravel, the paved part is steep and winding. You should be able to make it up the hill with any decent car. Other things to note We allow dogs for a flat fee of $120. This is an older rustic mountain cabin. Many parts have been updated and remodeled, however you will still find parts that are rough around the edges. It is always a process with an older cabin that gets a lot of use. The pond is not stocked and it's fed by a spring. You might see some little fish in there, but nothing worth catching. And sadly, we ask that people not try to fish because our kids swim in there. We don't want lost hooks and line getting tangled up. We also ask that you not play loud music outside. Sound has a tendency to travel in the holler and neighbors are sensitive to it.
