Sit by a fire, listen to wind and birds or watch the sky. $50 cleaning fee per pet through extra fee request if necessary before arrival. There is no reliable internet but good cell coverage available; the smart tv can tether to your own device and streaming service provider. The space The property is secluded, we have one "neighbour" on the road. Guests are free to roam. Long walks or cycling along country roads without traffic begin at your front door or along the river, 10 minutes away. The guesthouse is newly renovated, cozy, and private; it is heated by a gas fireplace on a thermostat, it is very bright and clean. Guest access Guests are free to wander the property, investigate the food garden or the many trees and wildlife, barbeque, have a campfire in the firepit as long as there is no fire ban, and relax in the glider swing to plan your days on the St Lawrence river 10 minutes away, on the nearby trails through mature forests or in the Upper Canada Bird Sanctuary and Upper Canada Village. We have safe and adequate parking for boat trailers and sled trailers. Other things to note A cleaning fee of $50.00/pet applies to guests booking and staying with pets. You will receive a separate platform "request for more money" for extra services after you inform us; this request must be acknowledged before receiving a key code. This requires that you maintain communication with us on the platform after booking in order to receive and accept the request for more money the platform will send you. If you want to book kayaks during your stay you must communicate your plans in terms of time and day 5 days before your arrival which is the expiry term of your ability to cancel a reserv ation on the platform. Note: you will be required to read and sign a liability waiver and complete an equipment check-out, use, and damage agreement, ID is required. Daily cash rental fee of $80 dollars applies and depending on experience a cash deposit for damage will be required (the platform no longer offers hosts replacement protection for items damaged or destroyed by guests). You can transport the kayaks with your own vehicle only if suited, or we can provide livery service for $35.00 cash (delivery of boats to and from the water) and guidance on the US border restrictions for kayakers.
