This renovated home, dating back to 1900, is located right along the picturesque Delaware Canal, offering stunning views and plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities like kayaking and biking. Inside are modern amenities like a new heating/AC system, hardwood floors, a new bathroom, W/D, and a fully equipped kitchen. The loft area features a queen bed and a desk area perfect for remote work. The yard has outdoor seating to enjoy the scenery. The cottage is complete with a kitchen with stainless steel appliances, cookwear, a dishwasher, and washer/dryer. Climb up the ship ladder to the bedroom with a queen bed and ample linens, along with a private desk area perfect for working remotely, writing or drawing. The main floor has a sofa that is comfortable for one person to sleep (not a sofa bed) with extra linens. The private yard has seating to enjoy the Delaware Canal wildlife. The cottage is a short walk away from the shops and restaurants on Main Street. The cottage has WiFi and a Smart TV, with Netflix and Roku included. Note: This is a split level space with safe but steep stairs to the bedroom area and is not suitable for those with ambulatory challenges. Guests have access to the entire cottage and yard. We live blocks away and are available for any issues or needs that may arise. We have lived in the area over 20 years and can provide any information that guests may need. The quaint town of Yardley dates back to the 1700's. It is a short drive to New Hope and Lambertville, NJ and a train ride to Philadelphia or NYC. You can walk to great restaurants, bars and coffee shops. Known for its historic charm and scenic beauty, Yardley is a popular destination for visitors looking for a relaxing getaway. One of the most popular attractions in Yardley is the Delaware Canal State Park, which runs through the heart of the town. Visitors can enjoy a leisurely walk or bike ride along the canal towpath, or rent a kayak or canoe to explore the waterway. In addition to outdoor activities, Yardley has plenty of cultural and historic attractions. The Old Library by Lake Afton is a historic building that now houses the Yardley Historical Association and Museum. The museum has exhibits on the town's history, including its role in the Underground Railroad. For foodies, Yardley has a variety of dining options to choose from. From upscale restaurants to casual cafes, there's something for everyone. Overall, Yardley, PA offers visitors a perfect blend of outdoor activities, cultural attractions, and dining options. The home is walkable to several breweries, restaurants, coffee shops, convenience stores and a pharmacy. There is a train that you can walk to that goes directly into Center City Philadelphia (30 min), or to Trenton, NJ, where you can connect to a train into Manhattan (1 1/2 hours) There is a gravel parking spot for 2 directly in front of the cottage. The yard is not fenced. Dogs are welcome, but we cannot allow cats due to allergy concerns expressed by many guests. Thank you for your understanding!
