The space Spread out and relax in 1,450 square feet of bright, private living space located on the lower level of our home. You have a private entrance and the Cozy Base Camp is fully self-contained with no shared interior spaces. Private Hot Tub Relax in your own private spa! The hot tub is reserved exclusively for guest use during your stay. Hygiene is our priority: the tub is professionally serviced every 2 weeks to ensure perfect water quality and chemical balance. Sun-Drenched & Scenic Thanks to expansive south-facing windows, the apartment is flooded with natural light from sunrise to sunset. Tucked right next to Forest Park, the views and quiet atmosphere create the feeling of a secluded forest retreat, all while being just 2 miles from downtown in the prestigious Hillside neighborhood. The Base Camp Living Area We have designed the space to feel like a true home away from home. Tastefully furnished and air-conditioned for your comfort, the living area is the perfect spot to unwind after hiking the Wildwood Trail. Full Kitchen The apartment features a full kitchen equipped with a stove, oven, refrigerator, and microwave. Whether you are reheating leftovers from NW 23rd Street or cooking a full family meal, you will find it fully stocked with cookware, dishware, and utensils. Bedrooms & Sleeping The unit comfortably sleeps 4 guests in two separate bedrooms: • Primary Bedroom: Features a comfortable Queen bed. • Second Bedroom: Features two Single (Twin) beds—perfect for kids, siblings, or friends. Work & Connectivity Need to catch up on emails? We provide high-speed Wi-Fi and a dedicated workspace with a desk and chair, making this an ideal spot for remote work or creative projects. Bathroom & Family Amenities The modern bathroom features a spacious walk-in shower. Traveling with little ones? We also provide a portable infant-to-toddler tub so you can easily bathe small children Guest access Exclusive Use You have private access to the entire "Cozy Base Camp" apartment. This is a fully self-contained space with its own kitchen, living area, and a private in-unit washer and dryer. Private Patio Enjoy the fresh forest air on the patio located at the front of the unit. This outdoor space is reserved specifically for guests. Parking Ample free street parking is available directly opposite the home. Because our street is tucked away in the hills with very little through-traffic or foot traffic, guests find it to be a peaceful and secure alternative to downtown parking. Other things to note 1. Cleaning & Hygiene We take cleanliness seriously. Before your arrival, the home undergoes a rigorous deep clean using professional-grade disinfectants. • Buffer: We maintain a minimum 1-day vacancy between guests to ensure the property is thoroughly aired out and prepped. • Linens: All towels and bedding are professionally laundered at high temperatures (140F/60C). • Hot Tub: The hot tub is professionally serviced every 2 weeks to ensure perfect water chemistry. 2. Supplies & Essentials To make your arrival seamless, we provide a "Welcome Starter Kit" containing supplies for your first few days (toilet paper, soap, shampoo, paper towels, detergent, and trash bags). As this is a vacation rental, please note these are starter supplies, and you may need to replenish them depending on the length of your stay. 3. Security & Cameras For your peace of mind, the property is equipped with an exterior alarm system monitored by professionals. Please note there are external security cameras. There are NO cameras inside the private apartment. 4. Family Noise Potential As this is a lower-level apartment with our family living above, you may hear occasional footsteps or muffled sounds from the upper floor. We are mindful of our guests, but please be aware of this if you are a particularly light sleeper. 5. Hot Tub Safety To keep the water pristine for your stay, we kindly ask that you: • Shower before entering to remove lotions/oils. • Use the plastic drinkware provided (No glass in the hot tub). • Re-cover the tub immediately after use to maintain temperature.
