Welcome to Nid d'amour! Experience tranquility at this secluded, retreat on Puget Sound. Begin your escape with a private tram ride through a peaceful forest, arriving at your waterfront oasis. Fall asleep to the sound of gentle waves and wake to ocean life just outside your window—watch for orcas, eagles, otters, porpoises, herons, Kingfishers and more! Please note: For safety reasons, we are unable to accommodate children under 12. The space A secluded beachfront haven on Puget Sound. Master Bedroom Enjoy a private entrance from the wraparound deck, 180° panoramic bay views of Maury and Vashon Island and a comfortable Queen bed facing the water. Loft (2nd Bedroom) A spacious upstairs loft with a full bed, natural light, and handcrafted woodwork. Please note: the loft is semi-private and not fully enclosed. Sleep peacefully on both mattress which are medium firm memory foam with green tea and charcoal gel for pressure relief. Modern Kitchen Fully equipped with everything you need to cook meals together with a view. Open Living Room Relax and take in breathtaking scenery, or unwind with your favorite shows on a 50" smart TV with the latest streaming apps. Beach Access At low tide, wander the beach in search of starfish, sand dollars, geoducks, and crabs - direct access just steps from your door. Guest access Nid d'amour is your private, peaceful retreat, accessible by a unique tram ride from the parking area. You'll have exclusive access to the entire home, your wraparound deck, and the beachfront during your stay. Other things to note We will request a photo of your I.D. upon booking. The ID helps ensure the person checking in matches the reservation details and helps prevent scams and ensures accountability if issues arise. Check-in instructions will be sent prior to your arrival. Nid d’amour is a 70-year-old beach cottage—fully updated and designed for comfort. You'll enjoy incredible views, cozy interiors, and a peaceful atmosphere perfect for recharging. Your adventure begins with a private tram ride through lush coastal forest to reach the home. The tram is safe and simple to use, and we’ll provide clear instructions to make your arrival smooth. Please pack mindfully, as luggage must travel with you on the tram. The home is not accessible by foot. You’ll have exclusive access to the cottage, the deck, and the beachfront. At low tide, the beach becomes a treasure trove—look for starfish, sand dollars, geoducks, and more. If you're lucky, you might even spot an orca or bald eagle. We live in a separate house on the property and are happy to assist if needed, while fully respecting your privacy. The Pacific Northwest’s tree-filled beauty sometimes leads to brief power outages due to fallen branches. In such cases, we’ll do our best to support you quickly.
